The house
"En bord de rivière" a small-scale B&B with 2 generous apartment suites in the " étage attique " as well as a classic room in an authentic 19th-century " Maison de Maitre " estate.
At 60m2, the "Bucolique" provides a 1m80 double king-size bed as well as a single bed in the alcove of the room.
The "Equestre", with its 85m2, provides a 1m80 double king-size bed and a spacious separate lounge where a sofa bed allows an extra person to sleep.
Both lodgings are equipped with a private bathroom with step-in rain shower, washbasin and toilet. Bath and bed linen, hairdryer and toiletries are always at hand. Each suite also has an honesty bar with soft drinks, a coffee table, a reading corner and desk with a safe, air conditioner and fan, as well as a television and free WIFI. ....
We serve a full continental breakfast daily in the lounge, summer kitchen and/or outdoor terrace
Guests have a private entrance and the domain is fully enclosed.
On our domain you will find a jacuzzi and a large 14x7 swimming pool, with a spacious sun terrace and sun loungers for when the lovely French sun shines. The pool is equipped with an alarm, but children remain under the full responsibility of their parents. In the middle of the estate runs the river where you can go boating or fishing.
For those who prefer to enjoy a quiet moment or a good book, you will find all kinds of peaceful spots within the 20 hectares of garden. For nature lovers, the place is a real delight. Moreover, nowhere will you find a more beautiful starry sky !
Next to the pool is a large communal summer kitchen that provides you with all conveniences, such as barbecue, dishwasher, fridge and every imaginable kitchen facility and appliance. You can cook your own lunch or dinner. Our region is home to so many eateries with tasty affordable formulas, and as our guests have the opportunity to prepare their own delicious local and market produce, we do not offer table d'hôtes. We are happy to advise on the numerous local markets and restaurants with regional dishes.
The common living room, the fireplace on the ground floor, has a chess table, board games and a satellite TV. Around the summer kitchen you will find a small billiard and kicker table as well as the possibility to play the typical 'jeu de boules'. We put bikes at your disposal free of charge so you can visit the nearby villages via the voie verte and numerous cycling routes.
Pets cannot accompany you to the room so we are not an ideal holiday destination for animals.

In the heart of the Lot et Garonne region. The picturesque bastides of Pujols, Villereal, Monflanquin and Monpazier are nearby.
Only 10minutes from Villeneuve-sur-Lot and also near Bergerac, Cahors and Agen ... medium-sized towns that provide all modern facilities.
The property is fully enclosed, behind the gate with digital code is a private access road leading you to ample private parking in the shade.
We are easily accessible by car :
In Paris, take the direction of Bordeaux/Toulouse. In Orléans, take the direction of Toulouse. In Brive, take the A89 towards Périgueux/Bergerac. From Périgueux, follow the N21 to Villeneuve-sur Lot. In the GPS, enter "lieu-dit" Colombié Casseneuil.

Restaurants, food & wine
The region is known for its vineyards and gastronomy. Thus, there are many nice and price-friendly restaurants in the immediate vicinity. In summer, the historical villages also organise "marchés gourmands" Cosy evening markets where you can often sit down at long tables and feast on the numerous regional specialities such as foie gras, asparagus, truffles, cèpes, spicy cheeses, nuts, the meat tomatoes of Marmande, the plums of Agen, the apple Tourtières, sweet Garriguettes ....
For wine lovers, in addition to the local wineries of Casseneuil, Duras and Buzet, you can visit the famous wine regions of Bergerac (Pécharmant, Monbazillac and Saussignac) just 35 minutes' drive away. Cahors is also within easy reach as the wine estates already start within about 50 kms. Even bordelais and saint emilion remain very pleasant as day trips.

Centrally located between the Dordogne and the Lot so you can make many trips in both directions.

Feel at home, enjoy the organic produce from the gardens of france and, as you float along, music and dance. Experience the real authentic and welcoming France of yesteryear.
Those looking for a sporty holiday will have plenty of opportunities. Cyclists, hikers and water sports enthusiasts get their money's worth here and after the exertion there are plenty of opportunities to relax.

Further remarks
From May to October, the Atlantic maritime climate provides mild temperatures and warm summers with cool nights, making Lot et Garonne a great place to stay.
The landscape consists of rolling hills, vineyards, fruit trees and sunflower fields. The region is touristy but quieter than the neighbouring Dordogne, so you rarely have the feeling of being in a super touristy area. In the Lot et Garonne, you keep the feeling of having arrived in "the real France". You enjoy being with the locals, who are generally friendly and welcoming. It is therefore clear that the idea of blunt French people who do not want to speak foreign languages is a bygone myth.

For reservations of 4 nights or more, you enjoy a 10% discount on the standard room price during May - June and September. Depending on the length of your stay, we apply price reductions & benefits: room rate from 75€ if you book for a 7-night stay. Reservations of 13 nights benefit from a free 14th night.
The perfect independent "Séjour chez l'habitant" where you enjoy a separate guest entrance so everyone can come home at any time. There are several patios and several wood-fired barbecues on the property, so all accommodations can enjoy summer grills completely privately. By the pool area is a communal Summer Kitchen. If you like to have your lunch or dinner on site just like at home, you can prepare your meal there. The fitted kitchen under the barn canopy is ideal for enjoying a meal by the poolside with the first rays of the sun and mild temperatures. You will have a multifunction oven, fridge, gas and electric hobs, charcoal grill, dishwasher and all the basic kitchen utensils so you can practise some local recipes and gastronomy.
