The old farmhouse La Petite Aubue, built in the 18th century, is located in the rolling countryside of the Poitou and offers a great view over fields, old forests and a lake. The house (Gîte La Petite Aubue) and the guesthouse (Chambre d'hôtes La Petite Aubue) are comfortably and tastefully furnished. Here you will find peace, comfort and nature at only 9 km from the motorway A10 Paris-Bordeaux. An excellent address, situated on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella, close to culture and activities, also when you want to take a break on the way south/north.
Despite the proximity of cities, TGV and motorway, this is still a fairly unspoilt and old part of France that is very much worth discovering.

Poitou is located in the department of Vienne (86) and belongs to the region of Poitou-Charentes with the old town of Poitiers as its capital. Small villages, castles and manor houses and lively towns with a lot of Art Roman decorate the landscape of rivers, hills, valleys and forests. Besides the famous aperitif of the Charentes, the Pineau, the Poitou region produces a very tasty country wine from the cabernet, gamay and sauvignon grapes. A visit to one of the wine growers and the Caves de Poitou is definitely interesting for wine lovers.
