The house
You are a guest at Le Moulin de Lande, a recognised tourism company. The very spacious gîte is located in a 15th century entirely restored water mill "en pierre" (stone walls) with large terraces. In the holiday home you will find a large living room with a practical open kitchen and 2 very spacious bedrooms with good beds. In the summer this holiday house has pleasantly cool rooms, for the cooler months of the year it is equipped with central heating. There is a modern, partly renovated bathroom with toilet, sink and shower in bedroom 1. In front of the Gîte du Moulin is a large terrace with a large BBQ. From the elevated terrace you have a view of the river. In front of your cottage, between the terrace and the river, you will find a large lawn. Upon arrival, the beds have already been made for you. If you stay two weeks or longer with us, you will receive, if desired, clean bed linen every week. A wireless internet connection (wifi) is available in your cottage and around the pool. In 2011 the gîte has been rebuilt and renovated with conservation of the authentic elements: natural stone walls and a beautiful vault in the bedroom. The Gîte du Moulin is spacious enough for 5 people. An extra bed can be placed in one of the bedrooms, against a small surcharge.

Le Moulin de Lande is located in a beautiful valley, close to the medieval town of Largentière and the characteristic village of Chassiers. The domain with in total 4 gîtes, is situated on the banks of the little river "Lande" in the middle of woods and vineyards in a protected nature reserve the regional park les Monts d' Ardèche. At the river is a private sandy beach for our guests. Quiet and in the middle of nature, but also very central and at a short distance from all places of interest in the Ardèche. On the 1.25 hectare domain you will find our own vineyard, a large, double secured swimming pool with parasols and sun loungers and a private sandy beach at the little river the Lande. In the river you can swim, fish, sail and build dams. Or just relax on one of the deck chairs on the beach. For the little ones, there is a playground with swings, sandpit and climbing apparatus, beautifully situated next to the vineyard. At the river is a partially covered terrace with a wood-fired pizza oven where you can bake your own pizzas. The wood has already been laid out for you. You can also play table tennis on this beautiful terrace. We are quietly situated in the middle of nature, yet the many sights of the Ardèche can be reached within 15-30 minutes. Visit one of the many medieval villages such as Largentière, Vinezac or Balazuc. Go shopping in Aubenas. Eat out in one of the many restaurants: there are several at a short distance from the domain. Visit the Gorges of the Ardèche with the famous Pont d'Arc or the extinct volcanoes in the northern Ardèche. Relax at one of the many waterfalls like the Ray Pic. Listen to the silence on the central plateau. You can also visit the castle of Voguë, Largentière or Montréal, one of the famous caves like the Aven d'Orgnac or the Cocalière or the famous pont du Gard. A visit to the famous Grotte Chauvet 2 is a must for young and old. From le Moulin de Lande, bigger cities like Valence, Montélimar, Nîmes, Orange and Avignon are easy to visit. The Ardèche is known for its pleasant day- and evening markets. In the summer months there are regular concerts and parties.

Wat een prachtige plek midden in de natuur. We werden ontvangen door Celeste & Theo die ons van alle informatie heeft voorzien. We verbleven in huisje Orangerie, 1 van de 4 heerlijke huisjes. Er is genoeg te doen, wandelen, zwemmen ( heelrijk zwembad met ligstoelen) tafeltennis, vissen en diverse soorten fruit plukken op het domein. Veel leuke stadjes in de buurt en elke dag wel ergens markt. Wij komen zeker terug op dit plekje!

2 weken verbleven in de Bergerie, Knus huisje. Dakterras toegankelijk vanuit slaapkamer en woonkamer. Voor het huis een 2-de terras met uitzicht op de wijngaard.
Kleine keuken waarin wel alles wat je nodig hebt aanwezig is.
Verder biedt het huisje alle comfort voor een ontspannen verblijf.
Prachtig domein, Klein riviertje lang het domein waaraan je ontspannen kunt zitten
Heerlijk toegankelijk zwembad.
Dit alles in een omgeving welke stilte en rust uitstraalt.

Wat een heerlijke plek! We hebben een week in La Clède gezeten en genoten van het uitzicht op de wijngaard, het rustig gelegen huisje waar we alles hadden wat nodig was, het zwembad en de rivier. We hebben heerlijk gewandeld waarbij we gebruik konden maken van de gpx-files van de website van Moulin de Lande. Eigenaren Theo en Céleste waren altijd benaderbaar en hadden nuttige informatie over de uitstapjes die we wilden maken. Kortom, een week in een hele relaxte omgeving met zeer vriendelijke eigenaren! Aan te bevelen!!
Restaurants, food & wine
You can go to one of the villages nearby for fresh baguettes. The wines from the vignettes of "Le Moulin de Lande" are a must to taste. You can bake your own pizzas in our original wood-fired pizza oven by the river. We have the wood ready for you. In the vicinity are numerous restaurants: eat on one of the terraces of Largentiere or under the plane trees in Ailton! On the many (evening) markets in the surrounding villages and towns you will find honest (organic) products from the region. The Ardèche is known for its chestnuts, honey, nougat, wines and cheeses.
Activities
Do nothing! Come to the region where you can still enjoy peace and quiet. Where, at night, the endless starry sky is the only illumination, where time has stood still in medieval villages and towns such as Vinezac, Balazuc or Largentière. Stroll around one of the many markets, visit a castle or one of the famous caves. Of course canoeing on the Ardèche is a must. Explore the area on our mountain bikes, take a dive in the pool or sunbathe on our private beach at the river. Le Moulin de Lande is a wonderful starting point for bicycle and mountain bike tours. Also hikers can enjoy themselves around the domain and in the Ardèche. Walks and cycling routes start at the front door. Spring begins early: if you are not tied to the school holidays, come during the months of March, April, May or June and enjoy the good things that le Moulin de Lande and the Ardèche have to offer in peace and quiet. Children will find a terrain full of discovery and play possibilities: clambering, running, fishing, building dams or boating on the little river de Lande that runs along the entire domain.

You are dealing with an official company. We are professional landlords who have been renting with great pleasure and care since 2010 and will receive you with care and enthusiasm. The many positive reviews speak for themselves.
You will arrive in a house cleaned according to the sanitary regulations. All frequently touched surfaces have been disinfected with the appropriate disinfectants. Each holiday home has a kitchen and its own barbecue on the terrace, so you can take care of everything yourself, from breakfast to dinner.
You are staying at a domain of which one of the two owners is a general practitioner.
You will stay at a beautiful location with a lot of space, in the middle of nature. There are only four cottages on a plot of more than one hectare! You do not need to have any direct contact with other guests, because everyone has a lot of privacy and a lot of space. You will have a wonderful holiday here, without worrying about getting close to others.
The Ardèche is a sparsely populated region where social distancing is already present by nature, given its rural character. There are many excursions, walks, bicycle rides and car trips possible where you will meet few or no other people.
If you wish, we can place a baby bed, baby chair, baby bath, changing mat, toilet seat and/or potty in your cottage without extra costs. If you mention this when booking, we will make sure it is ready. Dutch speaking childcare or babysitting can be arranged.
Mountain bikes are available for a fee.

Linen included: beds are made on arrival. For stays of 2 weeks or more, you can get new bed linen from us free of charge on Saturdays.
A rental week is from Saturday 16:00 to Saturday 10:00. If you want to come outside the high season for a different period, please contact us.
