The house
In the pretty hamlet of "le hameau de Burg" lies this gîte "le Marronnier".
Located on a courtyard, this pleasant, spacious house has a large kitchen and a cosy sitting room. The kitchen still has an authentic 18th-century fireplace.
On the first floor you will find the 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
On the partly covered terrace you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun and the beautiful view.

On a sun-drenched slope just north of Privas lies the 18th century hamlet of Burg. Around a spring, a dozen houses are grouped, built on arched vaults, separated by courtyards and terraces, accessible via stepped alleys and built over gates. A beautiful place to spend your holiday in peace and enjoy all the beauty that the Ardèche has to offer. A number of houses are furnished as "rural gîtes".
Within 5 kilometres of Burg is the village of Les Ollières, on the Eyrieux river. Here you will find all kinds of shops for small groceries, cafes, restaurants and a post office. Privas, a typical French provincial town is situated at 14 kilometres from Burg.

Local delicacies, such as fresh goat's cheese from the farm, chestnuts, peaches and apricots from the Eyrieux valley and, of course, Côtes du Rhône wines.
Activities
In the immediate vicinity, you can go on fantastic hiking and cycling tours. For the necessary cooling, there are several swimming spots. Burg is centrally located in the Ardèche and interesting trips can be made in all directions.

No pets allowed
Unfortunately, le Hameau de Burg is not suitable for the disabled due to its staircases
The swimming pool (8m x 4m) is shared by the 4 gîtes.
There is a common washing machine for the gîtes
A cot can be placed in the gîte on request.
You can bring bed linen yourself or rent it from us for 7,50 euro p.p.per week or change.
You can do the final cleaning yourself or let us take care of it for 50 euro.

Ook met 2 personen is le Marronnier een heerlijk huis. We hebben genoten !! Het hameau ligt op een prachtige locatie. Het zwembad is super. Heel gezellig de kippetjes die lekker rondscharrelen. Super vriendelijke eigenaren Angele en Kris, Kortom een aanrader.

Le Marronnier is een fantastisch, sfeervol huis voor zes personen. Allerlei authentieke details zijn bij de verbouwingnbewaard gebleven. Schroom niet om ook met minder mensen hiervan gebruik te maken. Het uitzicht is heerlijk. De verhuurders bieden een warm welkom en zijn altijd bereid tot extra informatie of hulp bij het verder vervolmaken van de vakantie. Een goed uitgeruste keuken, met mooie oude schouw, helpt daaraan mee. Zo ook het dorpscafé in het kleinste huisje van Hameau de Burg, de poezen en de kippen en het aan huis bezorgde broodje. En als het meezit kunt u ook nog aanzitten aan een prachtig, smakelijk en betaalbaar menu.
De Burg is een droom lek.
