The house
Through a courtyard, you reach the entrance to this house. It has a spacious living room with kitchenette and French doors opening onto the intimate terrace, facing south and with a nice view of the valley. Plenty of sun, but shade can also be found. On the ground floor are the bedroom, toilet and bathroom with shower.

On a sun-drenched slope just north of Privas lies the 18th century hamlet of Burg. Around a spring, a dozen houses are grouped, built on arched vaults, separated by courtyards and terraces, accessible via stepped alleys and built over gates. A beautiful place to spend your holiday in peace and enjoy all the beauty that the Ardèche has to offer. A number of houses are furnished as "rural gîtes".
Within 5 kilometres of Burg is the village of Les Ollières, on the Eyrieux river. Here you will find all kinds of shops for small groceries, cafes, restaurants and a post office. Privas, a typical French provincial town is situated at 14 kilometres from Burg.

Local delicacies, such as fresh goat's cheese from the farm, chestnuts, peaches and apricots from the Eyrieux valley and, of course, Côtes du Rhône wines.
Activities
In the immediate vicinity are fantastic hiking and cycling trips. For the necessary cooling, there are several swimming spots. Burg is centrally located in the Ardèche and you can make interesting trips in all directions.

We rent other houses in le hameau de Burg.
No pets allowed.
Burg is unfortunately not suitable for the disabled due to its staircases.
The swimming pool (8m x 4m) is shared by the 4 gîtes.
There is a common washing machine for the gîtes.
We can place a cot in the gîte on your request.
You can bring your own bed linen or rent it from us for 7,50 euro p.p.per week or change.
You can do the final cleaning yourself or let us take care of it for 40 euro.

Dit was onze tweede plek in Hameau de Burg. Een heerlijk 2-persoonshuis met een aangenaam terras/tuintje, waardoor privacy gegarandeerd is. Er is goede WiFi, waardoor je met de rest van de wereld verbonden blijft. Prima sanitair, waarbij een lekkere krachtige douchestraal. En dan dat nieuwe zwembad van waaruit je over het dal uitkijkt! Heerlijk!

We hebben een prima tijd gehad in Burg Le Picodon. Prachtig huisje, leuk ingericht, prima douche en goed toegeruste keuken. Het gehuchtje ziet er prachtig uit. Met de complimenten aan Chris en Angèle voor wat ze tot stand gebracht hebben. Een aanrader voor mensen die van rust en natuur houden.
