The house
This charming studio-apartment is located in the heart of the Parc naturel régional des Monts d'Ardèche......un petit coin de paradis, as the French say so beautifully.
Admire the breathtaking view from the large southern terrace! You look straight at the mountains and valleys of the South Ardèche and it's possible to go hiking directly from the apartment. This area is also a paradise for cycling enthusiasts with a road bike or mountain bike. In the surroundings there are many beautiful swimming spots with crystal clear water. We are happy to give you good tips!
Gite l' Hirondelle has an authentic French character. It has thick natural stone walls which ensure a pleasant climate inside even when it is hot! The apartment has a sitting and dining area. The bedroom has double Pullman boxspring beds, with comfortable duvets. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a Nespresso coffee maker. The bathroom is spacious and has a washbasin, shower and WC.
From the Hirondelle apartment it's a 10 minute drive to Vals les Bains where you find a butcher's, baker's, supermarket and terraces. Lively Vals has a picturesque centre with narrow streets and is very well known for its Spa and the healthy, pure spring water. You shower with us in mineral water!
Staying in the l'Hirondelle gite is more of an experience. The tranquility, the views, nature. If you listen carefully you will hear nothing at all here, except for the cheerful hirondelles (swallows) and the bells of the sheeps. The terrace is a super nice place to "be" and in the evening it is wonderful to watch the stars. With 300 sunny days per year and a Mediterranean climate, it is a lovely, welcoming holiday home to enjoy in peace and quiet.

The Hirondelle apartment is located in the southern Ardèche, a department in the south-east of France, in the town of Vals les Bains, quarter du Bruentet. From the terrace you can see Mont Ventoux in the distance which is 123 km away.
The southern Ardeche is one of the greenest and most rural parts of France. The landscape is very diverse; there are many chestnut and fruit orchards, vineyards, quiet rural roads, oak and pine forests and rivers. The area has many natural wonders to be admired; Ray-Pic waterfall, Mon Gerbier de Jonc, the Pont d'Arc, Chier the Borée, le Pont du Diable and the beautiful Gorges de l'Ardeche. Also worth seeing are the caves L'Aven d'Orgnac and Grotte de la Madeleine.

Het was fantastisch! Definitie gastvrij Dominique en Anneke! Wat een mooie plek om te verblijven en wat hebben we het gebied en de ‘geheime plekjes’ door jullie kunnen ontdekken. Het paardrijden in Vinezac tussen de wijngaarden en olijfbomen zullen we nooit vergeten! Kortom: genoten met een grote ‘G’.Paul Grim from Breda,
Nu voor de derde keer bij jullie geweest en weer was het voortreffelijk. Onderhoud en zorg zijn super. Alles is heel verzorgd en goed onderhouden, en steeds vinden er verbouwingen en vernieuwingen plaats, chapeau!
We voelen ons altijd welkom en thuis bij jullie en ondanks dat we al veel van de Ardeche hebben gezien, blijft het elke keer een feest om bij jullie te verblijven. Dat betekent dus dat we weer terugkomen! Veel dank en veel succes met jullie mooie onderneming.

Wij hebben zo genoten van de twee weken in jullie gite en van de rustige omgeving. Jullie gastvrijheid, enthousiasme en energie hebben we gevoeld en maakten ons verblijf compleet. Wat een heerlijke fietstochten hebben we gemaakt, net zoals de wandelingen. Mooi werk zit er in jullie gastenverblijf en zorg eromheen. Bedankt voor alles dat jullie met ons hebben gedeeld. We wensen jullie nog veel fijne en succesvolle jaren!
Restaurants, food & wine
Vals les Bains has about 17 restaurants where you can lunch and dine both inside and outside. There are also many lively terraces.
In the last few years the Ardèche has positively developed itself as a wine region. On various vineyards and chateaux you can taste the local wines: Tavel, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Châteauneuf du Pape, Côtes du Rhône, Viognier.
Activities
The area is very suitable for walking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking or cycling. There are also possibilities for more adventurous activities such as canoeing, climbing or canyoning.

The apartment is located in our holiday home Les Veinards.
* In low season it is also possible to rent the entire house. There is a room for 9/12 people. You can also stay with us for a longer period.

Deposit: 100 euros to be paid on arrival
