The house
The gite is very comfortable, there is a well-lit living room with dining area + TV, an open plan kitchen, a large south-west facing balcony with a panoramic view over Mont Ventoux and Montbrun. The one bedroom has twin beds and a large cupboard. The bathroom is fitted out with a shower, 2 hand-basins and a WC. The living room leads straight out onto the sunny terrace equipped with loungers. You can park within the property.

The countryside around Montbrun-Les-Bains is remarkable. Nearby lie villages laden with history to explore, like La Romaine, Nyons, Buis-les-Baronnies, Valreas, Carpentras, Cavaillon, Apt, Manosque or Sisteron, the old centres of these places are superb. A little further away, Orange, Montelimar, Avignon, Nîmes, Aix-en-Provence or Marseille are also worth a visit. Lovers of good wine will be spoilt by the number of vineyards to visit in the area, where you can taste and buy good local wines. For nature lovers, Mont Ventoux, Mont Lure, the Lubéron and Baronnies all offer lots of possibilities for walking and various sporting activities. In the heart of the mountains, you can visit the picturesque villages of Gordes, Roussillon or La Fontaine de Vaucluse. An outing into the Luberon Regional Park is a must.

Onze week in Villa Fleury was geweldig. Het middeleeuwse Montbrun-les-bains zie je vanaf het balkon tegen de berg liggen. En natuurlijk heb je constant zicht op de machtige Mont Ventoux. We waren er in een heel warme week en dan is het heerlijk dat het ‘s avonds snel afkoelt en ‘s morgens de temperatuur zeer aangenaam is. De villa was heel schoon en aangenaam ingericht. Het balkon en de tuin zijn heerlijke plekken om te zitten. Jammer dat de lavendal al uitgebloeid was; reden temeer om nog eens terug te komen.

Wine lovers should take the chance to tatse and buy some of the wines of the region in the various vineyards nearby: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Beaume de Venise, Gigondas and Rasteau.
Activities
Mont Ventoux presents a good challenge for keen bike riders. You can also spend a day Vallée du Toulourenc or the Gorges de la Nesque. If you wish, we can organise transport there for the day. Enthusiastic walkers also be happy - from the apartment there are lots of possible walks either through the lavender fields or among the rocks of Mont Ventoux or in the Vallée du Toulourenc.

Further remarks
This is avery sunny part of France. The gites lies at Montbrun-Les-Bains, one of the most beautiful villages between Avignon and Sisteron. Montbrun is a small spa town with picturesque streets and some Roman ruins. You will find all the shops you need there: post office, bakery, supermaket as well as tennis courts and a swimming pool. Near the Chateau les Gipières, there is a good restuarant with a lovely terrace looking towards Mont Ventoux.
