The house
This house, Haute Vue in the French Alps, is located in the small village of Chevenoz. Located near Lake Geneva. The ski resort Portes du Soleil is 20 minutes away with no less than 620 km of skiing area. Large holiday house with spacious kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a large private garden, both in the morning and afternoon sun on the terrace. Driveway for 2 cars. Many facilities for children such as a swing, table tennis table, football game, darts and dutch games. There is also Wifi available. It is also an excellent area for mountain hiking, mountain biking and cycling. Several beautiful and attractive hiking and biking trails are marked, in the spring and autumn you can enjoy the seasonal changes.
The house has a large garden and playground for children. In the summer, there are activities nearby such as swimming in Lake Geneva or in one of the beautiful lakes in the mountains, flying over the mountains with a cable car (Fantastic Cable), down hill mountain biking for the sporty types. In the area you can walk light, medium and heavy hikes. Several routes are available in the house.
The house is close to the cities of Evian, Lausanne, Montreux and Geneva which are nice to visit during your stay.
The interior of the house is as follows:
Large kitchen with equipment such as 4 burner cooker, microwave, refrigerator, oven, kettle, coffee maker. Large living room (approx. 32 m2) with separate dining area, where children can also enjoy themselves with the available games. TV present and a bluetooth box. (The living room is partly 1.96 m high, the rest of the house has normal heights)
Already renovated bathroom on the ground floor with washing machine and separate toilet. On the first floor 3 spacious bedrooms (each ca. 14-17 m2) with 3 double beds (1 with double mattress and 2 with 2 single mattresses), bunk beds and a double bed. A cot is also available. All beds have single duvets (there is a double duvet). Large mezzanine (attic) present eg to play.
Under the house there is a storage room for e.g. skis.
Table tennis table, football table and dart board available, besides many (Dutch) games.
Outdoor swing available.
Rent for 5 persons, more persons pay € 50,- p/w per person extra with max. 2 extra persons.
Large garden at the front and free view at the back (private land). Large sun terrace on south-west side available. Small and large barbeque available.

The holiday home is located in the village of Chevenoz, near Lake Geneva and the ski area Portes du Soleil, at 800 metres above sea level, in Haute Savoie France. With 620 km of ski slopes, it is one of the largest ski areas in Europe.
It is a quiet village situated between the mountains and 20-30 minutes by car from winter sports area Portes du Soleil, with places like Chatel, Morzine, Avoriaz, and 20 minutes from Lake Geneva, with many water sport activities.
In summer, many activities take place on the mountains, such as descending the mountain with special bikes, flying over the valleys on a wire like a bird, paragliding, etc.
The house is located in the ski area Portes du Soleil. Only a few small ski slopes are within 10 minutes driving distance. The area is characterized by many lakes and mountain peaks.
It is an excellent walking area.
Swimming pool is 20 minutes away in Evian at the Lake of Geneva.
In the village is a bakery approx 5 minutes walking distance. A large Intermarche is 5 minutes by car in Vinzier.
Distance Utrecht-Chevenoz approx. 975 km.

Wij verbleven 1 week in deze woning samen met onze 2 zonen van 19 en 21 jaar.
Het huis is oud maar gezellig en degelijk en zeer ruim. Goede badkamer en goede bedden. Mooi groot achter terras en een kleiner terras voor als de zon te veel scheen en waar de tafeltennistafel staat..
De supermarkt redelijk dicht in de buurt. Het hoofdstoten viel ons alles mee. Vooral als je weet als ons gezin bestaat uit iemand van 1.95 / 1.88. Alleen de deur van keuken naar woonkamer was vooral de 1ste dag soms au..
Deze week hebben we van alles ondernomen.
- Le Lac Montriond; rondwandeling / kleine waterval en aansluitend gezwommen in het meer.
- Historisch oud dorpje aan het meer van Geneve: Yvoire bezocht / boottochtje / gezwommen.
- Rondwandeling en naar uitzichtpunt Point de Trechauffé met prachtige uitzichten op het meer van Geneve.
- Ochtendmarkt op donderdag in Thonon les Bains / zwemmen in het meer
- Chatel: Rodelen en Fantasticable,
- diverse keren gezwommen in het meer van Geneve bij het plaatsje Luncrin.
- Elke dag gebruik gemaakt van de tafeltennistafel..
- Er zijn veel Donald Ducks in de woning waar wij ook gebruik van hebben gemaakt.
We zijn hier nog niet uitgekeken. Er is hier echt zoveel te doen.
We hadden ons hier zeker nog een week kunnen vermaken.

Een week naar een streek waar we nog niet waren geweest.
De binnenkomst vanuit Zwitserland met het zicht op het meer van Geneve was adembenemend, dus wat kon er nog mis gaan?
We hebben een prima week gehad in een goed uitgerust huis met prima bedden.
Een huis uitgerust voor iedereen ( jong en oud) met veel spelletjes, boeken en verder goed vermaak.
Mooie terrassen en prachtige vergezichten.
De stilte was voelbaar.
Er was meer dan genoeg te doen in de omgeving, van mooie dorpjes, kronkelige weggetjes, de overweldigende bergen, prachtige bloemen en chalets, onvergetelijke vergezichten en uitzichten, watervallen, grotten, mooie meren met wandeltochten...
We hebben ons verwonderd over de natuur en genoten van deze streek.
Super U binnen bereik met alles wat nodig was.
De wijntjes en toebehoren smaakten na een dag rijden meer dan prima op het terras.
We zien terug op een hele mooie week waarin we naast de hectiek van alledag echt weer hebben stilgestaan bij de natuur.
We wensen alle opvolgers van ons dezelfde rust en tevredenheid toe,

From Abondance there is a ski bus to other ski resorts. (Chatel, La Çhapelle Abondance )
Restaurants, food & wine
There are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding towns, offering both simple pizza meals and gourmet dishes. Due to its location near Switzerland, Swiss dishes are also widely available.
Activities
Property is 20 minutes from Lake Geneva, where you can swim, or in pool in Evian, but also 20 minutes from the mountains, where some lifts take you up in summer and where you can go down-hill cycling, hiking, etc.
Some lifts are open until 1st week of September, taking you to top mountain for hiking or participating in mountain activities.
Evian has become a fashionable resort, with nice promenade, restaurants, terraces, casino, nice museums, old radtram that takes you up Evian.
Excellent ski area with over 600 km of slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. Close to the ski area of Bernex and Abondance (approx. 10 minutes' drive) a little further away the large ski area of Chatel (approx. 20 minutes) with connection to ski areas in Switzerland.
Beautiful hiking area with over 70 hiking trails. As our holiday home is located between the Portes du Soleil ski area and Lake Geneva, various activities can be enjoyed to the full in both winter and summer.
Hiking routes are available in the holiday home for summer and spring and autumn.
