The house
You enter the house through the spacious kitchen with authentic fireplace and atmospheric wood stove. There is a large dining table with 4 comfortable chairs and two spacious sofas with an armchair and coffee table. The kitchen is compact and equipped with modern facilities such as a gas stove and a dishwasher. In the kitchen cupboards you will find everything you need to prepare a good meal. If you want to outsource meals, we will gladly cook for you and we will also be happy to serve you a breakfast. Through the kitchen you enter the master bedroom. Here are a double and a single bed. If desired, we can add a single bed or cot. There is also a large wardrobe. Behind the bedroom you will find the spacious bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. In front of the house is a private and colorful garden with a beautiful Linde and a view of the lake. There is comfortable garden furniture and there is plenty of sun or shade. From the house you walk straight into nature.

The De Morvan regional nature park was created in 1970 and covers an area of 196,122 hectares. About 45% is wooded, originally mainly with the mixed beech-oak forest. The park has a reputation for hosting the largest collection of fenders; buzzards are very numerous, but also hawks, falcons, harriers, kites and even the snake eagle are found here, as well as all owl species. Mammals are rich in deer, wild boar, foxes, badgers, hares and rabbits. Very rare, but still present, is the European wild cat, an animal that is about twice as large as the domestic cat. The smaller animals such as polecat, martens, weasels, squirrels and the bisamrat are also very common, although they are very shy and do not show themselves often. The plant world is very species-rich, in the spring many primroses, orchids, spring helmet flowers, golden veil, wood anemones and wood sorrel and also the wild hyacinth and the wild daffodil. The sparse meadows have everything you might expect there, of course on the dry and higher parts of other species than where swamp vegetation occurs.

Prachtige plek met mooi uitzicht. Attente gastvrouw, die tevens een zalig en mooi driegangenmenu presenteert , met bijpassende wijn naar keuze: geweldig! De inrichting van de gite laat o.i. te wensen over.

Slechts 4 dagen geweest. Had veel langer gemogen. Een heerlijke, rustige plek met prachtig uitzicht. Met een gastvrouw die geweldig voor ons gezorgd heeft. De Morvan is een prachtig park met veel mogelijkheden. Zeker een aanrader om bij Rita te verblijven in een natuurgebied met duizend en een mogelijkheden om een geweldige tijd te hebben.

Een fijne en frisse gite met een ontzettend gastvrije gastvrouw in een heerlijk rustig dorpje waar je helemaal tot rust kan komen midden in de natuur.

Activities
Natural de Morvan park consists of extensive deciduous forests with many streams and beautiful lakes. You can enjoy hiking, water sports and even the sporty cyclist can really enjoy it. At eight kilometers from the gite, on top of Mont Beuvray, you will find the excavations of the old Celtic city of Bibracte. Bibracte, surrounded by ramparts, was the capital of one of the most powerful peoples of Gaul. Vercingetorix was named leader of the Gallic coalition in 52 BC in which the various Celtic peoples united against the Romans. You can walk and enjoy the old excavations and the distant view. Autun with its cozy terraces and interesting cultural activities is just over half an hour away. There is also a market on Wednesday and Friday.

Further remarks
We would like to give you a good time. As far as we are concerned, that also includes some pampering. The beds are made and towels and tea towels are ready for you. If you wish, you can order an arrival menu (12.50 p.p.) so that you can acclimatize quietly while we prepare the food. During your stay you can order a three-course menu (18 euros per person). We have also thought about breakfast (from 7 euros per person). If you want to eat vegetarian or vegan food, you can indicate this in advance and we will take that into account.
