The house
The Crèche dates from the 16th century and was originally a small stable attached to one corner of the main farmhouse. It has been lovingly converted into an attractive, light and airy gîte which has its own private, enclosed garden and access to the huge shared garden for the children's play-area and animals. The Crèche is a small cottage, decorated in rustic, French style. The ground floor consists of an open-plan kitchen/diner/sitting-room and a shower room with WC, washing-machine and ironing facilities. The shower is standard size. The lounge is attractively decorated with lots of original works of art on the walls and has glass doors leading out into the garden where there is garden furniture and a BBQ provided. There is also a wood-burning stove and well-stocked book shelves, puzzles and games. The kitchen is well-equiped with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, micro-wave and cafetière. Upstairs there are two nicely furnished, pine-ceilinged bedrooms - one with a double bed (size standard double) and one with a bunk-bed. The children’s bedroom has toys and games and a little rocking horse.
The cottage is just 10 minutes walk from shops and restaurants but is surrounded by fields. The clean, sandy beach is 1.5km away (30 minutes walk).
This house is only suitable for families as I don't accept groups of adults.
End-of-stay cleaning can be paid for when you are here if required (40€) and bed linen is 8€ per person or you can bring your own.

The Crêche is part of a former farmstead where I also live, on the very edge of the village and surrounded by fields. The communal garden is beautiful, has a play area for children and is full of flowers. We regularly win a prize for our garden, in the local ”Maison Fleuri” competition and we also have sheep, chickens, ducks and doves. The shops and cafés are only 10 minutes walk away and the flat sandy beach is 2 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk (1.5km). The Crèche has its own private, enclosed, south-west facing garden with table and chairs and sun loungers and BBQ.

Lovely family home. Spacious, clean and quirky, all you need to relax and enjoy yourself. Very good kitchen! The garden is a big bonus with privacy, space and animals to feed. Lots to see and do within a short drive or at the doorstep. Deborah is a welcoming and well informed host. Thanks and I hope we will meet again!

We hebben een weekje in de Creche doorgebracht met z'n vieren (2 volwassenen, 2 kinderen) en het is een goede plek om dit prachtige stuk van Bretagne te ontdekken. Er liggen prachtige strandjes in de buurt, allemaal op 10-15 minuten rijden en de verhuurster heeft goede tips. Plougasnou is een leuk dorpje, met een grote supermarkt en bakker op loopafstand. Op aanraden van de verhuurster zijn we een dagje naar Île de Batz geweest, afvaart vanaf Roscof. Daar hebben we fietsen gehuurd en het eiland verkend en heerlijk gezwommen. Het huisje is vrij eenvoudig met een eigen tuintje, en er is een mooie grote tuin waar de gasten gebruik van mogen maken, met schapen, kippen, cavia's en konijnen. Het is wel slim om oordoppen mee te nemen, want de hanen van de buren kraaien voor dag en dauw. Dank Deborah voor je gastvrijheid! We hebben een heerlijke week gehad.

Geweldighuisje, lekker koel als het warm is buiten. Mooie omheinde tuin, ook voor de hond. Geen tv maar is op te lossen via Wifi en de computer. En een heerlijke omgeving met prachtige stranden en wandelroutes. De zondag markt niet vergeten met allerlei verse gerechten, zeevruchten en groentes. Veel is uitgelegd in de uitgebreide beschrijving van Deborah die aller vriendelijks is.
Paar puntjes van aandacht. Het huisje ruikt niet fris, komt vermoedelijk vanuit de badkamer, op een gegeven moment werd het wat minder door de wasmachine te gebruiken maar de geur is zeker aanwezig en behoeft aandacht. We hebben aangegeven dat het huisje maar ook de spullen (servies en pannen) schoner kunnen. Veel stof, plakkerig bestek en kleedjes die een goede beurt verdienen. Niet iedereen maakt even goed schoon als je er zelf voor kiest om schoon te maken. Dus een goede schoonmaakbeurt is zeker gewenst. Verder heerlijk verblijf gehad!Comment from Deborah Gamble

Restaurants, food & wine
In the village 10 minutes walk away there are 2 good restaurants and further afield many more. Seafood is a local delicacy, as is cider and artichokes.
Activities
In this area you will find many small, hidden, sandy beaches along the rocky coastline and there are not too many tourists here. There are many activities locally - horse riding along the beach, sailing, wind-surfing, kayak, tennis and golf. Sea fishing trips can be arranged.

Further remarks
Our property is ideal for families and your children will find plenty to do either in the huge garden or on the local beaches. We have animals which your children can feed....chickens, ducks and sheep. We have internet access.
