The house
As soon as you enter the gate you immediately feel the delightfulness of nature meeting you. The cottage has every thing to prepare delicious meals a good oven, nespresso and coffee machine, watercooker, etc.
It is a comfortable gite and autumn 2020 there will be a woodstove in the living !

The area is rural and very authentic, slightly hilly landscape surrounded by hedges and here and there an old oak tree in the middle of the landscape an area par excellence for beautiful walks. In the house you will find various maps with hiking trails. A 15-minute drive away is a beautiful large swimming lake with various activities for adults and children.
• You can visit various beautiful chateaux, abbeys, Romanesque churches or those who love beautiful gardens, there are many around them. In the summer there are numerous flea market and vide grenier markets in the immediate vicinity. T

Het was een fijn huis met een heerlijke, franse sfeer en een prachtige, grote tuin. De omgeving is heel stil en landelijk. We hebben enorm genoten.

Een fijn en knus huisje nabij het andere grotere huis op een heerlijk rustige locatie welke zeer geschikt is om er direct op uit te trekken en de mooie natuur van de streek te herkennen. Gebruik van de grote tuin was ook fijn bij afwezigheid van andere huurders. In februari zijn wel alle bezienswaardigheden gesloten maar toch vonden we nog de mooie Abbaye de Noirlac die gelukkig één van de dagen dat we er waren open was. Een aanrader!
We gaan hier zeker nog een keer terugkomen. Patrica en Guus, dank aan jullie beiden dat we er mochten verblijven ter nagedachtenis aan onze moeder Plona.Marie van den Ende from AMSTERDAM,
We hebben een heerlijke week achter de rug in de gite in Vesdun. Toevalligerwijze verbleven de gastheer en gastvrouw enkele dagen in het grotere huis en we zijn buitengewoon gastvrij onthaald. De prachtige grote tuin stond werkelijk vol in bloei met clematis, een schitterend gezicht! De gite was van alle gemakken voorzien, precies zoals wij voor ogen hadden. Een mooie plek om nog eens naar terug te keren en deze raad ik dan ook van harte aan.

Those who love horse riding or fishing can go to various places, all information is available in the house. And for golf lovers there is an 18-hole golf course that is as peaceful and beautiful as you will not easily find in Europe.
The cottage is beautifully situated near various interesting hiking trails.
There is a large swimming lake 15 minutes' drive away, with various activities for children and adults.
You can visit the various medieval churches and abbeys, admire beautiful gardens and chateaux.

Further remarks
A good restaurant is located in the village, a 5-minute walk from the cottage. The area is known for the Chateaumeillant wines, light and fruity, delicious in the summer.
Near the house are 2 winemakers where wine can be tasted and bought. Various specialties of the Berry are for sale in the immediate vicinity, a few minutes' walk from the cottage is a goat farm where, among other things, fresh goat milk can be ordered and various goat cheese and natural products can be purchased.

The gite has been completely renovated in 2015, providing a mix of antique furniture and modern equipment. Situated at 5 minutes walk from a pittoresque village, with its well known restaurant ! From the house you walk into the enchanting nature all around you. The unspoilt region on the border of the Cher, Indre and Allier, shimmering yellow fields of sunflowers rolling hills and beautiful rural countryside a haven for the keen walker, cyclist or wildlife enthusiast . The location of the cottage is perfect to sit out on warm quiet summer evenings and be mesmerised by the clear skies with all the stars...
