The house
Chantilly is a traditional 19th century cottage, set in the village of Noyers in the Loire Valley. Noyers is officially listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The house was recently restored to offer a high level of comfort. With two double bedrooms and a double bed on the mezzanine, the house is comfortable for up to six guests.
A large open-plan living-dining area includes a dining table, a fireplace, a television, and a bar with beer taps.
On request, Eric will cook you a real French dinner. Two bicycles in good condition are there for guests to use. If Eric is available he can accompany you to discover the wonderful countryside and forest .
The kitchen is fully equipped for a self catering holiday, and includes a separate dining table.
The first bedroom is on the ground level, and has its own fireplace and a double bed. Also on the ground level is a shower room and WC.
The second bedroom is upstairs and on the mezzanine, there is also a double bed too .
Chantilly has its own private terrace, with a barbecue and a table and chairs to dine outside under a pergola.

Chantilly is in the village of Noyers. Within a few kilometres are gourmet restaurants, a choice of bars and cafés, and shops and supermarkets. Also nearby are three museums and 12 exceptional châteaux.
The large cultivated garden is shared with the owners, who also live on the property in an ecological house, and are available to help their guests if needed. Parking and wifi are freely available. Bicycles are available to explore the local countryside.

Maison très bien équipée. Environnement paisible et silencieux. Hôtes très accueillants qui savent se faire discrets. Le lieu permet un accès facile à beaucoup de sites culturels dans les environs. Si vous aimez vous déambuler au bord d'un canal, faire des méandres dans une forêt, cette maison est pour vous.
Activities
You can also explore the local countryside. Take a boat trip on the Loire river, twenty minutes' drive from the house, or see the canals in the village of Montargis, known as "Little Venice", which is equally close.
The local countryside is dotted with many lakes. Within a few kilometres is one with a beach, which is good for swimming.
This is also excellent countryside for walking and hiking. The forest of Orleans is the largest in France, and offers a good day out with many hiking trails to follow.
The city of Orleans is rich in history, famed for its connection to Joan of Arc, the French national heroine who, inspired by visions, led a military campaign against the English in the 15th century. Its cathedral is well worth a visit.
The local villages and towns offer regular open-air markets, selling local produce. There are many festivals, especially during the summer months. Sully-sur-Loire hosts a famous music festival every year in late May and early June.
