The house
GARDEN
At a distance of 200 metres from the lake, the house, built in modern architecture, is situated in a beautiful garden of about 1350 m2 separated by hedges and the whole consists of a lawn bordered by trees and shrubs ensuring maximum privacy.
GROUND FLOOR
On the ground floor is at the front a comfortable seating area with a cozy wood burning fireplace. There is a widescreen TV with DVD player. With the dish, aimed at the Astra satellite, you can receive a large number of Dutch television and radio stations including all free channels. There is also WiFi in the house, which is a stable, fast and unlimited internet connection. In this sitting area, on the side facing south, a glass conservatory has been built to catch the warmth of the spring and autumn sun. This conservatory also has an outdoor terrace.
TERRACE
At the rear, a beautiful dining area is located, which provides access to a second outdoor terrace through a large sliding door. From inside the house you therefore have a beautiful view over the backyard. Teak garden furniture with a large parasol and barbecue complete the picture.
KITCHEN
A separate comfortable kitchen with various appliances is in open connection with the dining area. Everything is here such as an electric cooker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, deep fryer, kettle coffee machine etc. There is also a separate laundry room with a digital washing machine, condenser dryer and accessories. Furthermore, there is a toilet room.
FLOOR
From the entrance you reach the floor where there are four bedrooms with four 2-person beds. On the landing are two 1-person beds. All beds have pillows and duvets. There is also a large bathroom with a bathtub and a bathroom cabinet with two sinks. There is also a second separate toilet.
GARAGE
The house is fully equipped for ten people, you lack nothing and in the garage there are the bikes with mountain derailleur and accessories waiting for you.

LAC DES VIEILLES-FORGES
The big attraction is of course the lake "Lac des Vieilles-Forges" at about 200 metres from the house. This large lake of 300 ha is situated in a green environment. All facilities for water tourism are available here: sandy beach, swimming, rowing, canoeing, surfing, sailing, fishing, sunbathing area, lawn with tables and benches, barbecue and picnic area, tennis courts, jeux de boules courts, playground, in the summer months a small restaurant with terrace and first aid post, footpath around the lake, beautiful walking area, acrobatics course in the forest and woodcutter's museum. Both young and old will enjoy themselves in this paradisiacal environment.
Cycling from one village to the next, you can enjoy the beautiful farming landscape with its panoramic views.
VIEWPOINTS
At Monthermé, 8 km away, where the river Semois flows into the Meuse, there are several panoramic viewpoints.
ROCROI
The fortified town of Rocroi, a perfect example of a star-shaped fortification from the 16th century, is 8 km away. On the square in the centre of the town, the old medieval market hall has recently been restored. Good restaurant and café. Just outside the town is a beautiful subtropical indoor swimming pool.
LONNY
7 km away, Lony with karting and minigolf.
CHARLEVILLE-MÉZIÈRES
The old city of Charleville is 17 km away and has one of the most beautiful squares in France. The square is surrounded by arcades, which usually only occur in southern countries. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants with terraces and several old shopping streets lead to this square. There is a leisure park of 14 ha on the Meuse with a marina, children's playgrounds and an aquatic centre. Charleville is also known for its marionette games. Once every three years the "Festival Mondial des Théatres de Marionnettes" is held here. Another special attraction is the "Grand Marionnettiste", a clock that shows a short puppet show every hour from 10 to 21 hours.
SEDAN
The city of Sedan is 40 km away. Here you will find the largest medieval castle in Europe with various activities such as jousting, falconry show, evening visit with torches etc.
REIMS AND EPERNAY
A little further south is the most reputed wine region of France; "Champagne". Literally and figuratively a sparkling region where the angels come to caress your tongue on the many terraces.

Fijn huis op een hele mooie locatie. We hebben genoten van het meer! Het huis zelf voldoet prima voor 10 personen. Het enige minpuntje is dat er maar een badkamer is en dat er zittend in bad gedouchet moet worden.

Wij hebben het huis als zeer compleet ervaren, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Ook is de beschrijving van alles wat er in en om het huis is is zeer uitgebreid. De inrichting is heel prettig en rondom het huis kun je heerlijk vertoeven. De ruimte is ongelooflijk, heerlijke plek een echte aanrader. !!!!
