Marmonfosse (Alt. 450m) is a unique place located in the middle of the forest of the Vosges mountain range. The large area around the house is in itself already a place of adventure, and can occupy young and old. Access to the forest is direct, and many walks start directly from your door. Saint-Dié and Bruyères, two nearby towns, have all the necessary amenities. The Hautes Vosges (Alt.1400m) offer a true paradise for hiking, about thirty minutes by car. In winter you can go for superb snowshoeing and downhill and cross-country skiing. Alsace, located an hour's drive away, with its characteristic culture, its Wine Route, and beautiful cities such as Strasbourg and Colmar, is also well worth a visit, especially during Christmas time.

We loved our stay at the gite.
Back to basic with everything we needed. We even found a blender in the kitchen.
It was so quiet, the nature was wondelfull.
    And of course great hosts.

We would love to visit Maribelle again in the future.

I really enjoyed staying at this remote location in the forrest. Nice place to find some rest. We enjoyed the lovely sunny garden and the walks in forrest (Nice sounds of the wild boars). The dog stayed in the garden but there is no real fence. Make sure you have films downloaded, as internet is not good enough for online watching. I like to go back for more walks and visits to the surrounding area.

    Comment from Samuel MERVILLE

Thank you for your nice comment.
Thank you also for the respect of the rented places, and your kindness.
We will welcome you again with pleasure, and in addition we will be able to offer you a high-speed internet connection which should arrive in early 2023.
Good luck to you and your little dog.
