The house
Our tastefully furnished holiday home 'La Tourelle' is a self-contained gîte with an enclosed garden and a games room, shared with the other gîte, with table tennis, darts, pool table and table football.
Living room with fireplace and spacious fully equipped kitchen, WC, shower and double washbasin. A spacious spiral staircase leads to the two romantic bedrooms. Relax in the garden and enjoy the scenery with its many historic sites, the magnificent Opal Coast with its beaches (20 min.), theme parks and golf courses. Places like Montreuil and Hesdin with daily markets and terraces are 15 minutes away.
A delight for walkers and cyclists. Restaurants and bakeries just a few minutes away.

Living areas: ground floor: hall (under turret), living room with open fireplace and dining room/kitchen, wc and bathroom. The house has central heating, but for extra warmth and atmosphere, there is also a wood-burning stove in the living room (wood included). There is satellite television. Good wifi reception (fibre)
Kitchen:
The spacious and comfortable kitchen is fully furnished and equipped with, amongst other things, a fridge/freezer combo, dishwasher, oven, microwave, 4 ring cooker.
Bedrooms:
Both bedrooms have 90x200 double beds and in one also two single beds.
Games room:
In the barn you will find table tennis, darts and table football.
There is a private terrace with table, chairs and stone barbecue. Sun loungers in the garden.

Saulchoy is a small village set in lush green valleys, with well-kept cottages full of flowers on the banks of the river Authie. You'll find plenty of good-value restaurants here. Beautiful medieval towns such as Amiens and Montreuil with markets, shops, terraces, flea markets and great beaches 20 minutes away.

Wat een ontzettend leuk huisje, zeer idyllisch en goed ingericht, ook keukengerei tiptop in orde, zelfs een aantal basics te vinden zoals peper en zout, afwasmiddel en handzeep. Badkamer heeft een fijne douche. En bovenal, alles was heerlijk fris en schoon! Dat de Speelkamer er bij is, is een leuk pluspunt.
Het huisje ligt in een rustige omgeving (precies waar wij voor kwamen) maar in zo’n 35 minuten ben je in de bruisende badplaats Touquet. Wij willen hier nog wel een keer naar toe!Laura en Diederik from Haarlem,
Lekkere week gehad in fijne omgeving. Ruime gelijkvloerse woning, mooie ruime tuin en fijn zwembad. Wat slaperige omgeving, maar voldoende leuks en lekkers binnen enkele minuten rijden.

Ruime gite, voorzien van alle gemakken, gelegen aan grote tuin met zwembad en diverse zitgelegenheden . Gezellige eigenaren ,waar we een leuk kontakt mee hadden.. Mooie badplaatsen aan de kust ,Waar zelfs zwemmen voor onze hond mogelijk was.Veel te zien in de directe omgeving met leuke , goede, restaurants.
Een aanrader , een plek om nog eens terug te komen.
Restaurants, food & wine
In our village, a young couple run a restaurant serving good food. Everything is homemade and the value for money is good. Five minutes away is a Michelin-starred restaurant with a terrace overlooking the château. On the coast, there are numerous restaurants with, of course, fresh fish and views of the Somme and Authie bays.
The many markets in the region offer local produce.
Activities
The holiday home contains a document detailing the many activities, beautiful towns, restaurants and public facilities.
Saulchoy is situated in a quiet rural area ("the seven valleys"), where you can walk or cycle. The coast, with its picturesque fishing villages and fashionable seaside resorts, is around 20-30 km away.
There are many markets, flea markets and fairs in the area.
For children:
There's plenty to do in the many seaside resorts. If you're looking for something fun to do with the kids not far from the coast, here are a few tips.
-Parc Bagatelle (30 minutes).
This large family park south of Le Touquet-Paris Plage is the perfect place for a day out with the kids. It offers more than 44 family attractions, including rollercoasters, shows, a wildlife park and restaurants.
- Canoeing and kayaking at Les Hesdin.
-Aqualud (30 min)
Discover the Aqualud water adventure park. A pirate park, wave pool, whirlpool or dive into the black hole with an inflatable boat.
-Nausicaä (65 km).
The sea lions are the highlight of the national marine centre. Then there's the tropical lagoon, with fish in every colour of the rainbow and stingrays you can stroke.
-Beautiful towns and tourist sites :
Les Jardins de Valloires:
Unbelievably beautiful park (8 hectares) with dozens of varieties of roses, herbs and hundreds of different trees near Argoules Abbey (accessible on foot).
Montreuil-sur-Mer (19 km).
An old fortified town with ramparts where you can go for a walk, near the area where Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables" was filmed. Every year in July (4x) and August (4x), sound and light shows are staged on the theme of "Les Misérables". Local residents dress up for the occasion in costumes from Victor Hugo's era. Reality and fiction merge in the historic setting of this architectural monument: the Citadelle. A welcoming centre with restaurants and (often eccentric) shops.
Hesdin (17 km).
The ancient town of Hesdin, with its intimate, atmospheric setting and full range of facilities, is crossed by La Canche, one of the small rivers that make the Seven Valleys region so special. Once a week, on Thursday mornings, the Hesdin market is particularly lively.
