The house
A lovely holiday home for 2 to 4 people in a restored former barn of a Picardy farm. The peace and quiet of the countryside, between land and sea.
Ideally located between Amiens and the Somme Bay.
A cosy living area on the ground floor with a small lounge, an equipped kitchen (dishwasher, electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, kettle), a dining area and a bathroom with shower and WC. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (one with 1 double bed of 200 x 140; the other with 2 single beds of 200 x 90). The cottage is equipped with wifi
You can enjoy a nice terrace in a fenced garden facing south. For the enthusiasts there is a bbq available. For the cooks among you, there are herbs in the garden.
The gîte has its own parking space and there is free room for a 2nd car next to the gîte.
In the months of July and August the rent is from Saturday to Saturday.
Outside this period the gîte can also be booked as chambre d'hôte (bed & breakfast); from 2 nights onwards.
Final cleaning is obligatory and included in the rental price.
Linen is optional: 7 € per person: sheet + pillowcase + duvet cover
Pets are not allowed.

Niets negatiefs te bedenken. Zeer vriendelijke gastdame- en heer, een Frans-Nederlands stel dat je graag wegwijs maakt in de omgeving. Die is de moeite waard, met o.a. de kust vlakbij, de schitterende Somme (voor fietstochten) en het gezellige Amiens. Het huisje is perfect gebouwd (van een voormalige garage), top-geïsoleerd met volop privacy en comfort. Fijn meubilair, een prima douche, handig keukentje en een heerlijke privétuin. Hier kom je echt tot rust. Ideaal voor een stel.

Wij verbleven een week in het huisje, zeer mooi en netjes. Rustig gelegen tussen de kust en Amiens. Goede uitvalbasis om één en ander te bezoeken of gewoon een goede plek om in alle rust aan je vakantie te beginnen zonder gedoe en lawaai om je heen. Uitstekende locatie voor fietsers, vlakbij het fietsroutenetwerk 'Somme a velo'.
Paul, de aangename en behulpzame eigenaar van het huisje heeft ons ook geholpen om onze wagen te stallen zodat we van daaruit aan onze fietstocht konden beginnen (https://www.routeyou.com/fr-fr/route/view/4335147/piste-velo-recreative/nos-30-ans), deze fietstocht passeert als het ware aan het huisje, dus was het voor ons gemakkelijk dat onze wagen bij Paul kon blijven en op de koop toe hebben we bij aankomst nog een overnachting kunnen doen in zijn chambre d' hôte.
Gîte Frettecuisse was voor ons een uitstekende plek om te rusten en weer aan te komen na een mooie fietstocht.Monique from Leusden,
Een heerlijk huisje! Alles klopt en heel schoon . Fijne plek als je van rust houdt. Veel gefietst. Kust en routes prachtig.

Ideally located between Amiens and the Bay of Somme, you can enjoy all the riches of this beautiful region here: the coast at Le Tréport or Cayeux or cross the Bay of Somme from Le Crotoy. Walk or cycle in nature (green belt, several hiking trails in the area); the castle of Rambures, the collegiate church of Abbeville or the cathedral of Amiens to name but a few possibilities.
