THE gite is for maximum 5 people, you can rent the studio in addition for € 525.00 per week then the total is suitable for 7 people.
You are here on a closed area, you can park your car on the site.
You can now also book from Sunday to Sunday in July and August.
In the middle of the pretty village of Pont d'Ouilly, hidden in a garden with age-old trees and by the river L'Orne, lies the country house "Le Parc". We rent part of the house as a gîte.
During the Whitsun weekend there is a big party in the village with a parade and a big firework display on Whit Monday and a small fair throughout the village.
There is a lot to do then.
The cottage is very tastefully decorated and consists of a large living room with fireplace and television (satellite reception with Dutch channels) DVD player and stereo. Behind the living room is the cosy kitchen with large dining table, suitable for 8 persons. This kitchen is fully equipped and has all modern conveniences.
The kitchen has a beautiful view of the river and the village, with the famous guinguette (dance) every Sunday afternoon on the other side of the river.
On the river side you have a private terrace for guests of the gite Le Parc only, from which you can enjoy the summer canoeists taking the barrage(waterfall). This is a truly unique spot in the village. You can have breakfast in the sun on the private terrace right by the river in the morning and still enjoy the sun at the end of the day.
Above the living room are two spacious bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with luxury shower cabin, toilet, bidet and vanity unit. The house is centrally heated.
The entire property is fenced off from the river, so children cannot walk to the river.
You can park your car in a fully enclosed area.
There is an electric charging station for the door. This also works on a Dutch card (Love to load)
There is a barbecue available.

Pont d'Ouilly is a small but very active village, in summer there is always something to do, guinguette, karaoke, canoeing, paragliding, jeu de boule (large courts) and mountain bike. But you can also quietly walk in a very beautiful environment.
You will find forests, mountains and water.
In less than an hour, you are at the coast with the famous invasion beaches and the beautiful coastal towns of Deauville, Trouville and Honfleur.
Closer by is the beautiful Falaise with its famous castle of William the Conqueror. There are many markets in almost every village or town in the area.

Nu voor de 2e keer de Studio gehuurd voor 2 weken en wederom tot volle tevredenheid heerlijk genoten van de mooie locatie, de geweldige gastvrijheid en prima verzorging van Marcel & Marianne.
Zo op het eerste gezicht lijkt Pont d’Ouilly niet zo’n ideaale plaats voor een vakantieverblijf, maar alles waar Normandie bekend om staat is binnen het uur ongeveer bereikbaar. Dat en de plek van ‘ Le Parc’ op zich, zo direct aan de rivier met iedere dag de kanootjes op en 2x per week ‘live’ entertaiment aan de overzijde van de Orne maken deze Chambre d’ Hotes een plek om naar terug te verlangen 👍🏼
Restaurants, food & wine
In the village itself you will find everything you need.
At about 3 minutes walk you will find a bakery, a butcher and a cosy bar-tabac.
Two bakeries open 7 days a week from 07.00 to 19.30.
A post office, pharmacy, general practitioners, garage, an active canoe rental centre, bicycle rental, butcher, supermarket, local speciality shop, 5 restaurants from simple to very luxurious, a creperie and twice a bar-tabac of which one at about 100m and with a cosy terrace on the river.
All this you will find at less than 500 m.
Of course, in the surrounding villages and towns there are also plenty of opportunities to enjoy the delicacies of the region.
Activities
Pont d'Ouilly is known for its canoeing, there are also regular international kayak-polo competitions, and you can also canoe yourself, the rental company is 400 metres away. But you can also dance on Sundays by the river L'Orne.
You can be active, but also quiet and enjoy the very beautiful landscape. You can also fish on the grounds and in other places.
There are 5 golf courses in the vicinity, including an excellent 18-hole golf course (Clecy) at 12 km.

Further remarks
If you come with two people, you will receive an attractive discount.
This gîte is especially suitable in the high season for a family with 2/3 growing children.
All costs, such as electricity, water and cleaning are included, so all in.
You will always find a guaranteed clean house.
If necessary, you can use the washing machine and dryer, which are located in a separate room that is used by several people.
We always provide a made bed and a welcome gift on arrival.
If the weather permits, we can set up a 1.50 x 1.50 indoor children's pool for you.
There is a cot, highchair and buggy for one child available
Bed linen is included, your bed is made on arrival.
