The house
Recently renovated detached villa with garden and parking within a walled plot of 400 m2.
On the ground floor, open plan lounge/diner and a well-equipped fitted kitchen with electric hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwaher and fridge with freezer box.
Also on the ground floor is a bedroom (160 cm wide bed ), a bathroom and separate toilet together with a utility room with a washmachine.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with sea views. One double bedroom (140 cm wide bed) and the other is a twin room (2x 90 cm wide beds). shower room and separate wc.
the house can comfortably accommodate 6 people.
You can also relax in the garden, with outdoor table, chairs and a barbecue for al-fresco dining.
Sheets and Towels are provided . Beach towels are also provided on request.
4G is accessible but in 2020 wifi will be available in the gite.

Take a day trip by sea for an excursion to Chausey, and the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey.
An hour away by car, you can visit the Mont Saint Michel and its bay, the third most visited site in France.
Cherbourg, the port city with the largest artificial harbour of europe, and maritime museum (Cité de la Mer) is on the Hague peninsula rich in beautiful scenery and unmissible sites.
You can also visit the key sites relating to D-Day, the landing beaches, Sainte Mère Eglise, Utah Beach Bayeux...and the museums of the second world war.
Less than an hour away, you will discover the town of Saint-Lo, capitale of the horse world with its national stud farm.
The city of Granville is nearby with its port, its ramparts and the high town, its carnaval and the Christian Dior museum.
Visit Villedieu les Poeles , known at the copper town for exceptional sites such as the Bell Foundry or the copper workshop.

Zeer goed gelegen. Zeer goed uitgerust. Zeer ruim. Vlakbij zee. Zeer vriendelijk onthaal.Zeer ruime parkeergelegenheid op het afsluitbaar terrein (3 wagens).

Het huis is goed bevallen. Licht en ruim opgezet, praktisch ingericht. We waren met vier personen, maar het huis is groot genoeg voor zes personen. Het huis lift pal aan het strand (even de straat oversteken en een trap af naar de boulevard, ca. 50 m) en ca. 300 m gelegen van enkele winkels (o.a. bakker) en uitgaansgebied. De Super-U (grote super) ligt op ca. 600 m. Het huis ligt in een rustige buurt. LET OP: het huis heeft geen eigen wifi! Het strand is een prima zandstrand, maar er zijn wel veel stenen en schelpen (waterschoenen zijn aan te bevelen).
De eigenaresse is Frans maar spreekt ook Engels (geen Nederlands) en is zeer behulpzaam. Wij hadden goede ervaringen met deze mensen. Agon-Coutainville is een levendige badplaats met veel (Franse) toeristen. Nederlandse toeristen zijn er vrijwel niet. Agon-Coutainville is een prima uitvalsbasis voor de Kanaaleilanden en Mont St Michel. De invasiestranden zijn ook goed bereikbaar (ca. 80 km), maar Caen is (te) ver voor een dagtocht.Comment from Jacqueline Desheulles
Thank you very much for your review. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay in Agon-Coutainville. As you rightly say, there some shells and small stones (shingle) on the beach just in front of the gite. However, there's a sandy beach located 300 meters to the left. It's just in front of the shops and the main entertainment area. This main beach is cleaned every day and there's a diving platform and there are lifeguards on duty.
My listing indicates that there is no wifi in the gite (but there is 4G that you can access). However, wifi is being planned for next year 2020.
I'm delighted you explored Normandy and visited Cherbourg, Mont-Saint-Michel and the D-Day landing beaches. There's lots to do in Caen including following in the footsteps of William the Conqueror. It's a worthwhile day trip and is less than 90 minutes by car.
