The house
Luxury Normandy Farmhouse sleeps up to 10 people - cozy living-room with wood burner, tv and WiFi, lovely dining room, large well-equipped kitchen with table and chairs, 4 beautiful fully prepared bedrooms with wardrobes and dressing tables (2 with en-suite bathrooms and tv), lovely summer house outside for guests to enjoy afternoon tea or an evening drink, swings for children, within 3 acres of glorious gardens and plenty of parking. There are two other sweet Gîtes within the grounds you may book separately for larger family or friends gatherings, ‘La Petite Maison Mai’ and/or ‘La Petite Grange’ (see same address). The bedrooms of all three Gîtes have fully prepared beds, there is extra linen provided and plenty of towels in their nice bathrooms. The kitchens are all well equipped and there are BBQ’s outside. The properties are NON smoking inside.

La Grande Epelengere is just 2 minutes from the village of La Chapelle - Urée, where there is a good patisserie, a bar and restaurant which serves lunches... but within 10 mins are the three towns of Brecey, St Hilaire and Mortain, with everything you would need from the large assortment of shops, as well as plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Le Mont St Michel and Avranches near the beautiful west coast beaches are only half an hour away, whilst Dinard airport and the north ports are but an hour’s drive.

Reffuveille, just 2 miles away has a patisserie, bar and restaurant which serves lovely lunches. In the towns of St Hilaire, Mortain and Brecey within 10 mins you will find many restaurants and cafes, and half an hour away in Avranches near the beautiful west coast beaches, there are several very fine restaurants, particularly for fish. Cancale (known for it’s superb array of fish dishes in a beautiful setting) and Granville, also have a superb array of restaurants,
Activities
The breathtaking west coast Normandy beaches are 30 minutes away, as are Le Mont St Michel and Avranches. Bayeux is about 45 mins due N. E. .Three little towns nearby with plenty of shops and each with a pool, are Brecey, St Hilaire (wonderful Wednesday morning market) and Mortain ( the sight where the Battle of Normandy was brought to a close in ‘44). For the children (under 10’s) there is ‘Village Enchantment’ at Bellafontaine, 20 minutes away. The older children may enjoy ‘Ange Michel’ a small theme park in St-Martin-de-Landelles, 25 mins away. There are many lakes for the fishermen and a lovely golf course nearby. Horse riding may be found at Brecey 10 mins away. There is much to explore in this beautiful region, just an hour from airports and ports.
