Hill Crest is perfect for large groups, with plenty of space inside and out for families and friends to enjoy a fabulous holiday.The ground floor comprises a well-furnished 30 sq m lounge with a wood burner fireplace and a spacious well-quipped kitchen/diner – also with wood burner – a downstairs toilet and a children’s play room.
Upstairs, you’ll find five bedrooms, offering enough space to accommodate nine people comfortably.

Hill Crest Gite is 10 miles south of the bustling market town of Vire, the capital of the beautiful Calvados region of Normandy. We’re an easy drive from the Euro Tunnel at Calais, and the Channel ferry ports of Cherbourg and Caen.
If you’re looking for a base from which to explore the many attractions of Lower Normandy, then you won’t find a better location than Hill Crest. From here, you’re around an hour’s drive from the D-Day beaches, Bayeux, Swiss Normandy, Mont Saint Michel and much more.
There’s plenty to see and do nearby too. Fishing, walking, sailing, cycling… with Lake Dathee and the magnificent Saint Sever forest both about 10 minutes away.

We hadden een heerlijk ontspannend verblijf in Hill Crest Farmhouse. Sheila en Tony wonen in het andere deel van het huis en zijn daarom altijd bereikbaar bij eventuele problemen of vragen. We logeerden op het domein met 5 volwassenen en 3 kinderen. Het huisje was echt voorzien op kinderen, heel aangenaam. De omgeving was heel rustig, ideaal om helemaal te ontspannen!

Geweldige gite, practhig gelegen op een heuvel met mooi uitzicht. De gite is prachtig en zeer compleet en gezellig ingericht. Aan werkelijk alles is gedacht en alles is super netjes. Zeer grote tuin, heerlijk voor spelende kinderen (zwembad, trampoline, klimrek en schommel) en ook voor ouders die tot rust willen komen. Ook binnen hadden de kinderen een eigen speelkamer en veel ruimte. In de buurt genoeg te doen, o.a. invasie stranden, Mt St Michel. Heel warm welkom en eigenlijk wilden we nog niet weg na een week.

Hele fijne Gite op prachtig landschap. Mooi vergezicht over schilderachtig landschap. De Gite zelf is erg fijn. Alles is meer dan ruim aanwezig en keurig netjes. De tuin is zeer groot, heel fijn voor onze onderzoekende kinderen. Klimrek, trampoline en zwembad allemaal top. De locatie is heerlijk rustig en strategisch sterk. Je zit met een uurtje bij de invasiestranden, Caen, maar ook de hele leuke stranden tussen Granville en Avranches (mt st Michel). In Vire heb je fijne supermarkten.

With our three acres of orchards, fields and lawns, surrounded by unspoilt panoramic views of the countryside and no traffic, there’s plenty of safe open space for you to enjoy and for the children to safely let off steam.
There are also plenty of quiet areas if you’re looking to simply take in the views, paint, have a glass of local wine and enjoy some peace, quiet and relaxation.

A 19’ diameter plunge pool (Open June – September unless we get a prior heat wave!) – Ideal for cooling off on hot days, but if you want ‘big pool excitement’ Vire Aqua Park is just 10 minutes away with indoor/outdoor pools, flumes and more plus the lovely sandy beach at Lake Dathee for swimming and water sports
