The house
Ferme Blanche is a completely renovated and renovated Gite. Layout: Spacious kitchen with wood stove, dining table suitable for 8 people. Separate toilet. Bathroom: shower, 2 washbasins and toilet. Hall, large living room with sofa, chairs, wood stove and dining table for 8 people. Front floor: 3 bedrooms, all three with a double bed. Floor backside: hall, bedroom with double bed. Wireless internet available. From the Gite is a beautiful view of the valley. Fully fenced backyard and side garden and 2 terraces, adjacent fields on private property, total 3.5 ha.

La ferme Blanche is located just outside the village of Menil-Vin, in the foothills of Suisse-Normande, on a dead-end road (only local traffic). From your holiday home you have a beautiful view over the valley.
The area is hilly with a constant variety of meadows, fields, hedges, bushes and small villages. The rivers and hiking trails meander through it.
From Tricolore Normandie, which consists of Gite Bleu, Gite Rouge and Ferme Blanche, you can make walks of different lengths.You can start walking from your holiday home!
At 11 km distance is the town of Falaise with all amenities and the castle of William the Conqueror.
From Ferme Blanche you look out on vast valleys. The site covers 4 hectares: meadows, orchard and nature reserve with walking path and quiet spots on both sides of the river la Baize.
Around the cour are three buildings, of which Ferme Blanche is one. Also Gite Bleu and Gite Rouge are for rent,
A table tennis table, a trampoline and various outdoor games are available in the courtyard and in the common room.
In addition, there are plenty of games and books in all languages for you.
In the garden there are plenty of fruit trees and shrubs (apples, pears, raspberries, blackberries and grapes) that you can freely pick.

Mooie plek. Met drie honden 3x € 45 extra schoonmaakkosten is wel erg veel. Er waren volgens de beschrijvingen 2 routers. Eén deed het niet, was onvindbaar en daardoor deed dus ook de Chromecast het niet (keuken), in de huiskamer was de chromecast ook onvindbaar. Internet deed het in de huiskamer wel, we konden de mail dus gewoon afhandelen. Mooie plek, heel mooie omgeving, wél ver b.v. Mt St Michel, en meer bezienswaardigheden. Huis op een mooie plek met veel ruimte.

Sfeervol en zeer compleet huis. De bouw en verbouw van de boerderij is prachtig gelukt. Ik heb veel gewandeld, de rest van de familie heeft geluierd in en rond het huis en in de tuin. Wat een aardige mensen in het dorpje. We werden zelf uitgenodigd op een apero! De koeien ( van een boer uit Twente!) stonden in het weiland naast de boerderij, wat een heel gezellig uitzicht gaf.

Heerlijke twee weken vakantie gevierd in de prachtig verbouwde boerderij. Alles was aanwezig inclusief het prachtige weer. Gezwommen in het meertje, de Normandische stranden bekeken en diverse keren de Suisse Normandie route gereden en bekeken. We komen zeker terug. Dank jullie wel!
Restaurants, food & wine
Our cider farmer "La Ferme du Bisson" lives 2 kilometers away. She sells good cider and poiré, honey and very soft calvados.
In the fall the apples and pears from the orchard are picked by us (as far as you have not eaten them delicious!) And taken to the cider farmer, where the cider for that year is made.
In the vicinity are several good restaurants, where delicious local products are served.
At the market in Falaise, St Pierre sur Dives or Caen you can buy local produce and fresh fish.
Activities
From the cottage you can start various short and long walks in the area. Also in surrounding villages many walks have been set out of varying length and difficulty (descriptions available in the gite).
Close by is a chapel that has been restored in a special way by a Japanese artist.
In Falaise are shops, a weekly market and many musical / cultural activities. There is also a beautiful, impressive castle of William the Conqueror.
Canoe trips can be made on the Orne as well as the Dive (pick-up points 10-15 km). In a large reservoir at 6 km there are spacious swimming possibilities and sheltered picnic spots.
The Roche d-Ouetre is a tourist attraction (ravine, walks, visitor center and restaurant) about 15 km from Menil-Vin.
Half an hour away you will find Caen, a large historic city (castle, museums, shops, marina) and at a quarter of an hour the broad beaches.
At the Normandy beaches where the invasion took place in 1945 (D-Day), many impressive exhibitions and museums can be found. A visit can start in the war museum of Caen and then along the coast to the South. Many people pull out two days for this.
Finally, there is the world famous Mont St-Michel at about one and a half hours drive. Fun!

Rent includes final cleaning, towels and beds made.
You can also rent la Ferme Blanche in combination with Gite Bleu and / or Gite Rouge. So you can celebrate holidays with family or friends, while still having your own place to sleep, live and cook.
If you want to do things together like common food, there is plenty of opportunity in the Ferme Blanche or in Gite Rouge. If there are children, they can play together in the courtyard, in the orchards and in the gardens.
But if you want to seclude yourself, you can do so in your own holiday home.

No extra costs due, price is all-in.
Price also includes final cleaning, towels, kitchen linen, bedding, electricity, wood for the wood stove.

With a connected period of 2 weeks, a discount of 5% is granted. A discount of 7% is granted for a consecutive period of 3 weeks.
When booking two houses you will receive an additional discount of 5%. When booking 3 houses you will receive an additional 10% discount.

Payment: 25% at booking and 75% 3 weeks before the commencement date (unless later booked, then 100% at booking)
