The house
Gîte Les Moutons is a beautiful, large gite for up to 8 people.
The gîte is for rent throughout the year and is therefore equipped with heating and well insulated.
A cosy living and dining room with a beautiful view of the sheep pasture, and a small snug mezzanine where the television is.
There is a television with a Google Chromecast and there is Wifi in and around the cottage.
The gîte has two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. There is also a triple bedroom with three separate beds and a single bedroom.
There is one bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and toilet, and one bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. Furthermore, there is a fully equipped kitchen with a 4-burner stove, cooking utensils, microwave, oven, sandwich maker, refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle.

The surroundings are rural, hilly and woody. At about 3 minutes drive you find the enormous forest of Ecouves, with many walking possibilities. Through this forest 2 "Grande Randonnees" run, the GR 22 (from Paris to the Mont Saint Michel) and the GR 36 (from Ouistreham (Calvados) to Bourg-Madame (Pyrénées-orientales)). There are many small villages and nice towns to visit. Bagnoles de l'Orne is a spa town with nice terraces and surrounded by the beautiful forest of Andaines. Alencon is the nearest town, with a beautiful old centre and many restaurants and shops. Saint Ceneri le Gerei is a renowned artists' village located in the Alpes Mancelles. The village is known as one of the most beautiful villages of France. In La Ferte Mace there is a large swimming lake, ideal for children. For lovers of horses, the Haras du Pin is highly recommended. This is also called the "Versailles of the horse". Many famous race horses come from here. Domfront is a beautiful, medieval town with an amazing castle ruin. And there is so much more to do in the area.

Normandy is known for its cheeses and cider. The famous Camembert has its origin here and is named after the town of Camembert. You will find large apple and pear orchards everywhere and thus also cider farms. The small town of Domfront is located in the heart of "Domfront en Poiraie". Here, the delicious poiré (perry) is made, which is also known as the "champagne of Normandy".

Throughout the year, there are festivals, horse races for enthusiasts, music, markets with regional delicacies... Normandy cuisine is famous for its cheeses and cider...
We were amazed to discover the "Normandy Switzerland", a rocky stretch of land with steep "mountain walls" and climbing opportunities, and the romantic spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne.
Whether you come for a retreat week, want to do things with us or just as a guest and want to be on your own: you are welcome!
