The house
This cosy and hospitable country house is in good condition and equipped with the basic modern comforts. An honest house where you should come above all for the origin of nature, not for fleeting luxury. A multifunctional house consisting of two floors, downstairs as a bungalow by two people with private bathroom to inhabit (possibly with small children with one or two mobile beds), but also on both floors by a group of residents up to 8 people (upstairs is a second bathroom). A house with its own internet, total detox, great for holidays!

- ground floor:
entrance, hall, toilet, spacious living room with fireplace, TV with satellite dish for Dutch channels, radio / CD and DVD player and a side room,
modern and spacious kitchen with oven/gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee machine, pans, crockery and cutlery,
spacious double bedroom,
spacious modern bathroom with bath,
pantry with central heating boiler and washing machine;
- 1st Floor:
two 2-person bedrooms, two 1-person bedrooms, cot, bathroom with shower and toilet.
All beds/mattresses are good and measure 90x200 cm. In the garden there is garden furniture, a seesaw, a swing and a fixed barbecue.
In a former workshop in the backyard is a table tennis table, shuffleboard, etc.
WE CHOOSE NOT TO ALLOW PETS (which many tenants find very pleasant!).

Just over a quarter of an hour from the sea, not far from the highest chalk cliffs of the European continent, lies the friendly, authentic French village Grandcourt (approx. 350 inhabitants), in the beautiful Vallée de la Yeres, the small river that flows through this lovely valley and through the village. The vast forests of the Foret d'Eu are nearby, a beautiful walking and nature reserve. La vallée du soleil' is situated at the southern edge of the village, free on the sun. A large garden with also a lot of grass (1600 m2) gives all the space for children to play. In the village you will find a small grocer (also has fresh baguette every day) at 250 meters, open on sundays in the morning but closed on mondays.

Restaurants, food & wine
Good restaurants and excellent eateries can be found everywhere in this area, often behind simple facades. Like in Blangy, Mesnieres, Saint-Martin-Gaillard, Etalondes and of course Le Treport (the fish restaurants par excellence). There are also some good, traditional restaurants in Eu.
Activities
From the quiet of the immediate surroundings, it is possible to roam in all directions and undertake activities of all kinds. Coast and beaches are at about 20 km, such as Criel Plage and the beautiful beach of Mers-les-Bains next to the fishing port of Le Treport. Visit the market of the old town Eu on Friday, pure French cosiness next to monumental architecture of centuries. Dieppe is worth a visit at 35 km. The big, old cities of Amiens and Rouen are each at a good hour's drive.

Further remarks
La vallée du soleil' is an honest house to enjoy nature and freedom in a small as well as in a large company (the ground floor is ideal for e.g. a couple alone or someone with mobility problems: own bedroom and bathroom). In the back of the garden, in a former workshop, there is a table tennis table, shuffleboard, etc., and the fixed stone barbecue is a source of fun. Summer and winter this is a pleasant and comfortable house. It is for rent throughout the year. Internet/wifi has been installed in the spring of 2018.
RENTAL PRICES per week:
- July and Aug € 810 p/week
- Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Sep and Oct € 585 p/week
- all other weeks in jan, feb, nov and dec € 360 p/week.
These prices do not include an energy surcharge: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, Oct, Nov and Dec: € 95 p/week, May, Jun, Jul, Aug and Sep € 55 p/week. A week belongs to a month with 4 or more days started in that month.
Security deposit: € 170,00 (returned within 4 weeks after rental period).
After departure the house will be cleaned at the cost of the tenants, payment on arrival to local 'dame de menage' of € 60. It is possible (on request in advance) to rent linen packages at € 10,00 per set (bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase), duvets and pillows are sufficiently present.
In the period November-March it is possible to rent the house per 24 hours with a minimum of 3 nights (outside the Christmas holiday weeks).
