The house
Pretty property from the 12th to the 17th centuries, renovated in the tradition (2014) closed, roof with Varengeville tiles. Ideal quiet location with magnificent views of cliffs, sea, garden and countryside. Warm décor of wood, beams and stone walls throughout the house. The large living room and dining room are open to the garden through bay windows. A spacious and comfortable dining room follows the well-equipped open-plan kitchen. On the ground floor there are 2 double bedrooms, one with shower room and toilet and the other with shower room, toilet plus washing machine and dryer. Upstairs, 4 bright bedrooms with exceptional views of the sea (5 minutes walk), and the gardens, with a double bed and a single bed for the other 2 and a double bed for the other 2.

The cottage is located on the Côte d'Albatre, between the famous beaches of Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer and Veules-les-Roses. Here you will find authentic nature with beaches bordered by cliffs and a green landscape. Many water sports and walking activities are available nearby (surfing, kite surfing, swimming, sailing, horse riding, golf, walking or cycling on the GR and country lanes. Daily excursions possible to Etretat and the famous beach further south, but also to the Bay of Somme further north and its very special light, visit to bird sanctuary, sand yachting, kite surfing, hiking, visits to protected areas are fun trips for the whole family.

Prachtige locatie. Leuke tijd gehad. Loopje naar het strand is prima te doen. Uitrusting huis is prima. Badkamers boven beschikken over een ligbad met een handsproeier. Badkamer beneden heeft een goede douche. Ontvangst vriendelijk en hartelijk. Uitrusting keuken is goed. Koken op flessengas. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Wat een fantastische lokatie! En een geweldig onderkomen. Met veel zorg is deze plek, zo kort op de kust, verbouwd. Met Veel oog voor detail. Ook de ontvangst was meer dan vriendelijk.
Toch een paar details. Wij vonden de mogelijkheid om een maaltijd te bereiden tekort schieten. Dit gasstel was duidelijk te klein voor een maaltijd voor 12 personen.
Ook misten wij de informatie voor bijvoorbeeld de dokter, een apotheek en andere info om in geval van nood te kunnen bellen. Waarschijnlijk is het de bedoeling om Ms. Michel te bellen, zodat zij actie kan ondernemen. Is ons niet uitgelegd. Wij hebben er voor gekozen om zelf voor de eindschoonmaak te kiezen. De benodigdheden daarvoor waren spaarzaam aanwezig.
Maar, al met al was het de negen punten meer dan waard en houden wij dit adres in de gaten.Comment from Lydie MICHEL
