The house
On holiday park Village le Chat lies this 5-person holiday home Narcisse with free WIFI (fiberglass), in a unique location, directly at the lake on 750 m2 of private land. The holiday home has two floors. You enter upstairs into a hallway, from which there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a door, behind which is the staircase leading down.
The small bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed. Mattress size 0.90 x 2.00.
Under the single bed is a coolstra buggy and a large bin with toys. (Especially many boys' toys and lego up to 12 years)
The master bedroom has a double bed with 2 mattresses 0.80 x 2.00 and a twin duvet, there are 4 duvets and 6 pillows. Bed linen and towels are available on request, you do pay laundry/hire costs. There is also a very spacious closet with 4 doors, in which you can store your clothes and a new cot with thick mattress. From this bedroom you walk through a sliding door onto the balcony, overlooking the beautiful lake.
Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.
Downstairs, in the holiday flat, is the living room with open kitchen.
Kitchen: dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, ceramic hob (4), kettle, coffee machine (bean machine), Senseo machine, microwave oven, washing machine and dryer.
Dining table with 6 chairs (7th chair is in the bedroom) and high chair (upstairs under the single bed).
Living room: 2 armchairs, sofa, coffee table, sideboard with satellite TV, smart TV.
Cupboard with reading books, indoor and outdoor games, some towels, dishcloths.
Terrace: garden table, 4 bucket chairs, 2 standing chairs, 2 sun beds (in master bedroom the cushions), parasol, bbq.
Holiday home is also suitable for families with young children:
Camping cot, drop-down rack (for the bunk bed), stair gates for upstairs and downstairs (are under the double bed) and high chair
Since 2022, the cottage has a fibre-optic connection, giving us a good stable WIFI connection (free of charge).
Swimming pools and tennis courts are not located directly at the house, but are present at the holiday park, and are available to Village le Chat guests.

The holiday park Village le Chat is situated in the sun-drenched (2600 sun hours) area on the border of Charente, Dordogne and Limousin, where nature is still untouched. Clear streams, rivers, lakes and lots of forest. Picturesque villages and castles. You can drive for miles without meeting anyone. You can also go to the villages/towns and just sit on a terrace and enjoy the hustle and bustle and people around you.

Voor de tweede keer met veel plezier in dit fijne huisje verbleven. Bij aankomst omarmt dit huisje je met zijn sfeer. Vooral beneden in de woonkamer voelt het als thuis. Huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, fijn bed, op warme dagen lekker koel en een mooi uitzicht op het meer.
Restaurants, food & wine
In the greenhouse of the holiday home is a folder with various restaurants, visits to cognac houses and wineries. If you make a trip, through the typical French villages and past the castles, you will find small restaurants where you can eat excellent food. The wines served are also delicious.
Activities
The Village le Chat holiday park in Ecuras offers everything for a wonderful family holiday.
In high season and out of season, you can enjoy the peace and quiet.
At Village le Chat an entertainment team is present during the high season to keep the little ones busy, but also to organise e.g. canoe trips on the river la Tardoire. The park has a swimming pool, children's pool, 2 tennis courts, 2 table tennis tables, jeux-de-boule court, 2 playgrounds, playground, football field, lake with play beach and children's area. In the lake you can swim, fish (big carp!) and float around with a boat, surfboard (not motorised and no windsurfing, this can be done on a lake 20 minutes' drive away). For young people, there is a meeting/ recreation room.
Fibre optic was installed in 2022, giving us a good wifi connection i. The cottage.
Going off the park, there are so many fun things to do in the area!
Golfing, Horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, caves, markets, Canoe trips, cycling on the train tracks, dressing up as a knight and damsel in the castle, Climbing forest, impressive visit to Oradour Sur Glane, Angoulême, Limoges etc....

There are towels in the cupboard. These must be returned clean at the end of the holiday
Unfortunately, last season many towels disappeared. I have replenished them, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee that guests do not take them with them.
