The house
If you are looking for the best child-friendly holidays in South West France then look no further! Located on the sunny Charente / Dordogne border, Chateau de Gurat offers six child-friendly holiday cottages (or gîtes as they are called in France) for those wanting to experience the pleasures of rural France. The gites are set in the landscaped grounds of the picturesque chateau, which dates back to the 15th century and stands in 14 acres of meadows and woodland. The Coin Fleuri is located in a secluded corner of the Chateau's courtyard, and it's South West facing walls are smothered in scented climbing roses.

Gurat is a charming little village on the Dordogne / Charente border, set within rolling hills of fields and woodland – and when the time is right sun flowers. It boasts its own monolithic church accessible via a pretty little walk along the tranquil Canal des Moulis.
