The house
The gite is comfortable and fully equipped. We ourselves lived in the gite for 3 months so you could say we did a trial run.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor, microwave, fridge / freezer and coffee machine of choice a Senseo or Nespresso machine. The living room has a stocked bookcase, wood stove, TV with DVD player and Bose CD player. On the ground floor you will also find the bathroom with Grohe shower and thermostat, toilet, washbasin and washing machine.
On the first floor there is a toilet with washbasin. There are also 2 bedrooms. One double room, with double bed, electric Velux skylight with blackout blind and a dressing table with mirror. The other room has 2 single beds, a wardrobe and the windows are equipped with black-out roller blinds.
Outside is a garden set with parasol. In addition, the gite also has a stone barbecue, charcoal etc. included. At the heated swimming pool, a lounge set and sun beds are available. Private entrance with parking.

At the end of a hamlet. Free view over field and forest. Very quiet and very often the only sound you hear is the birds! Not bothered by people looking in.
We live next to the gite and are therefore always available if there are problems. The gite has a private, enclosed garden but the pool is basically in our grounds. So the dogs walk around freely. They are both former hunting dogs from the shelter. Shy, sometimes noisy but friendly and not at all aggressive.

Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van ons ( veel te korte) verblijf. Helaas door omstandigheden zijn wij eerder naar huis moeten gaan. Maar Trude en John hebben ons enorm geholpen. Het huis is tegek! Alles is aanwezig. Groot genoeg voor 4 personen. En wat vooral erg opvalt….. het is super schoon! Mooie badkamer. Goede keuken en de bedden slapen heerlijk. De tuin is magnifiek! En het zwembad ziet er om door een ringetje te halen uit. Je kunt aan alles zien dat ze er alles aan doen om het voor hun gasten na de zin te maken. What you see, is what you get! Dank jullie wel voor deze mooie recensie. Ben blij dat we die verdiend hebben. We doen altijd ons best om het onze gasten zoveel mogelijk naar de zin te maken maar helaas kunnen wij onvoorziene enige voorkomen. Graag zouden we jullie nog eens terugzien.

Wat een prachtig huisje in een magnifieke, rustige omgeving!
L'Escargot biedt je alles wat je nodig hebt. Een romantische setting tussen de zonnebloemvelden, weilanden en glooiende heuvels, een prachtig zwembad, een volledig uitgerust gezellig verblijf met een leuke keuken, moderne badkamer en mooie verzorgde slaapkamers. Trude en Tony letten op de kleinste details zoals bijvoorbeeld leuke shampootjes, douchegel en lekkere koffiecups.
Je komt hier terecht bij lieve, gezellige, gastvrije mensen. Jou een leuke, ontspannen vakantie bezorgen is voor hen een must.
Kortom, L'Escargot is een echte aanrader !

Prachtige locatie. Mooi geriefelijk huisje in prachtig onderhouden tuin. Heerlijk zwembad met ligzetels en leuke zithoek. Trude en Tony zorgen perfect voor hun gasten. Zij zorgen voor bijna alles. Wij gaan zeker terug. Linda & Werner

Restaurants, food & wine
Situated about 1.5 hours from Bordeaux and the surrounding vineyards. Unlimited possibilities to visit wine regions by car, bicycle or on foot.
We are very interested in good food ourselves and we will be happy to help you find good restaurants, shops, markets etc.
Our neighbours have a farm with cows and sell fresh or frozen meat from their own herds. They also have sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, dried sausages and lentils.
