Les Mésanges

The gîte is located at 630 m altitude on the same property as the house with a fully enclosed garden of 1600 m2. From the garden you walk into the fields and woods where you can walk endlessly. The Creuse has an agricultural destination and the hilly landscape is characterised by an alternation of forests, fields, rivers and small lakes. It is a peaceful environment without many tourists. Culture lovers can indulge themselves in the many small towns with, among others, Roman churches and museums. The larger cities in the neighbourhood, like Aubusson, Montluçon and Clermont-Ferrand have a lot more to offer. At 6 km distance lies Auzances where all groceries can be done. Secondat is a small "settlement" with farmers as main inhabitants. We (husband, wife & dog) have lived here since 1999 and like to rent to people who love peace and quiet, only want to hear the owls at night and are woken up by the singing of the birds in the morning.
