The house
La Maison Verte has an open living room with 2 seater sofa, 2 chairs and a sofa bed (can accommodate 2 additional people if necessary) with TV and Wifi, a dining table that can accommodate up to 7 people and a kitchen fully equipped with microwave, gas stove, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. From the living area, the first bedroom is equipped with a double bed with wardrobe, shelves and hanging space and a dressing table. Up a step to the family shower room and the second bedroom which has 3 single beds in it with bedside tables and a wardrobe.

Forest Gites is located on the edge of Chey, a stone's throw from the market town of Lezay and 15 minutes from the historic town of Melle. The hamlet of Forest consists of 5 properties and Forest Gites is the last property you will visit. Our paddocks are located on one side and the views of farmland are from there. We are not forgotten at all because of the layout of the buildings, which allows you to enjoy a quiet rural holiday with a view of the surrounding fields. There are 3 gîtes that can accommodate 2, 4 and 5 people at Forest Gites and there is a 12x6m saltwater pool shared by the complex.

In the neighboring village of Chenay there is a traditional French restaurant Les Trois Pigeons or a quick trip to Melle gives you several options for French, European, Italian or Vietnamese restaurants.
Activities
There are many local attractions in the surrounding area. The historic town of Melle is only a 15-minute drive away, with large supermarkets and the Silver Mines of the Frankish Kings, where you can enjoy a guided tour of the silver mine. The Vallée des Singes, Futuroscope and La Lambon are particularly recommended. We crossed so many beautiful villages by car, simply asking to be explored with many possibilities for walking and cycling. There are fishing lakes, golf and horse riding in the surrounding area or simply to relax around our swimming pool, with plenty of sun loungers available. We are at a reasonable distance from the beautiful cities of La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Cognac and Angoulême.
