The house
The gite is located in the grounds of the main property which is fully enclosed and mainly laid to lawn. The gite has it's own private garden area, leading to the gite entrance and hallway. On the ground floor there is the double bedroom and a separate shower and WC room. From the hallway are the stairs leading to a large open area living space comprising of a lounge and kitchen diner. Ample parking exists on the property including your own parking space alongside the gite.

Rose Tremieres is situated in a small village in the south west of France in the Duex Sevres department between the market towns of Melle and Lezay. The area is well known for its mild climate, wild life, beautiful countryside, characteristic towns and nearby attractions. Both towns provide all essential amenities, cafes, bars restaurants, banks, supermarkets, swimming pools and English speaking medical and veterinary services.

Activities
Onsite activities include badminton, table tennis, darts, exercise bike and cross trainer and Petanque. Two bikes are available for your use free of charge. The village has a tennis court. Swimming pools are available in the nearby villages and towns. The property is ideally located for visiting the many attractions of the immediate area, such as the old silver mines of Melle, the Royal Abbey of Celles-sur-belle. Both Lezay and Melle and surrounding towns have weekly markets. There are numerous chateaux nearby. Further afield are the attractive cities of Poitiers and Noirt.
Nearby is Zoodyssée an animal park in the forêt de Chizé with over 50 acres of parkland. La Vallée des Singes, Futuroscope is 45 minutes away and the Atlantic resort of La Rochelle is a comfortable 75 minutes away. Cognac, Bordeaux, Limoges, Angouleme and Puy du Fuy (voted the world’s best theme park) are all within easy reach for a day’s outing.
