The house
A perfect holiday home for an enjoyable family holiday. The house is modernly furnished, has comfortable beds and luxury kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and Senseo) and bathroom. You walk out onto the terrace from the living room for a dip in the heated pool. Sun loungers, parasol and garden furniture available.
The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed for the parents and the second bedroom with 2 x single bed and a bunk bed (only suitable for children!). Satellite TV. Toilet downstairs and upstairs. Bathroom with bath, double washbasin and shower. Air conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms.
1 small pet is welcome free of charge.
Arrival on Saturday from 14h00, departure on Saturday at 10h00.

Nu reeds de 3e keer naar dit prachtig huis geweest (in 2021,2022 en 2023) en telkens een zalige vakantie gekregen samen met onze hond. Hebben het reeds opnieuw voor 2 weken geboekt voor volgend jaar. Prachtige ligging (rustig, mooi landschap en vele wandelingen in de omtrek). Het huis is voorzien met alles wat nodig is voor een mooie vakantie.

Wat een schitterende locatie. De gite is mooi en lekker ruim. Erg ruime slaapkamers ook. Met horren bij de ramen wat wij erg fijn vonden. In de keuken is ook genoeg service te vinden alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Buiten is het prachtig...wat een uitzicht! En het zwembad is natuurlijk helemaal een fijne luxe! We hebben 2 heerlijke weken gehad! En komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.

Wauw!!!
Prachtig ruim huis, mooie slaapkamers MET airco, geriefelijke badkamer en toiletten, ruime living en keuken eveneens MET airco. Prachtig verwarmd zwembad waar de kindjes uren, dagen en weken hebben in gespeeld en gezwommen 🥳. Rustig gelegen met een adembenemend uitzicht. Een toppertje onder de vakantiehuizen dus onze twee weken voor volgend jaar zijn al opnieuw geboekt 🥳🥳🥳.

Activities
In this region, also called the "Périgord Noir", you can experience a lot of fun, interesting and sporty days. There is a lot on offer within a radius of about 30 kilometres.
You can enjoy the charm of the area by walking a mapped out route or settle down on a nice French terrace in one of the charming villages or on the banks of the river.
The Dordogne is also known for its beautiful canoe trips where you can view the beautiful châteaux from your canoe. You can also visit them on the spot and be fascinated by the stories of the wars that took place here between the French and the English.
Or go back into the distant past by visiting a museum in Les Eyzies and explore the caves where the Cro-magnon lived a very different life.
The area is also known for its diversity of caves with their engravings, drawings and stalactite formations. Caves are still being discovered and everywhere you can find fossils in the stones.
There are also many markets, brocante (antiques) and vide greniers (flea markets). Not to forget the evening markets in the atmospheric market places in the medieval villages where the emphasis is on food and drink. Here, many of the region's products are on offer. A must!
In Hautefort you will find the nearest supermarket. France's most visited castle is also located there.
In Badefols d'Ans, you will find a small grocery shop.
Via Lardin St. Lazare you can drive to Montignac with the caves of Lascaux, the top attraction of the region.
La Roque St. Christophe and Rocamadour are not to be missed.
Sarlat de Canéda (30 minutes drive) has a varied programme of street theatre and music in the old town during the high season.
Several villages organise grand fireworks displays by the river and in the village.
Take a trip: The castle of Hautefort (15 km) is one of the most beautiful castles in the south-west of France and is known for its beautiful gardens. The Roque Saint-Christophe (20 km) is a large rock, situated on the river Vézère in the Dordogne. The world famous caves of Lascaux (25 km) should not be missed either.
The Adventure Park 'l`Appel de la foret' in Thenon (20 km) is a must!
This climbing/recreational park has 10 courses with a total of 40 ziplines, varying in distance from 5 to 150 metres. Also for children (from 4 years of age)
