Beautiful old farmhouse, Les Gites Fleuris - 2 cottages: Wisteria & La Petite Rose, with private heated swimming pool, indoor games room, 6ha private gardens and free wifi.!
You are most welcome to our beautiful location in the Dordogne. Charming holiday home heated pool, family-friendly, safe and convenient for children!
All in all, an ideal place to enjoy nature, peace and quiet, for hiking, but you can also go hiking or mountain biking directly from the house.
Our 2 cottages, located near Hautefort, are cosy detached fully modernised old farmhouses with central heating and wood-burning stove. The Wisteria House has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and La Petite Rose house has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a clic clac in the lounge.
Possibility to add children - up to 10p total.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, we will only rent both houses together, so guests will have exclusive use of the gardens, terraces, pool and games room. You will not share.
Beds are made on arrival. And towels are provided. Also towels for outside.
Outside in the large gardens you can enjoy: the swimming pool with terrace, tables, chairs, loungers, decks and terraces. Barbecue with equipment. In the garden you will find our love of flowers, leading to a beautiful palette of colours. Child-friendly! Playground with swings, slide, table tennis, croquet, tree house, badminton, and lovely nooks for walking are relaxing. Inside, the large games room has billiards, toys for all ages, board games, Disney films and children's books. Something for everyone in the family!

The village of St Agnan is about 1 km away.
Here you can get a fresh baguette and croissants at the bakery, also and restaurant, where you can eat delicious a la carte, but also just fries, pizza.

2 km away you will find Hautefort, here you will find a large supermarket, several other shops including a Brocante.
Hautefort is further known for its impressive castle, which can be visited with its gardens, several restaurants, nice tea/coffee café, cosy weekly market.
The region is known for its special local dishes of duck and goose, often graced with truffles. These local dishes are served in several restaurants.

Less than 5 km away you will find the caves of Tourtoirac, definitely worth a visit.
At 13 km is Excideuil with a large supermarket, golf
About 35 km away is the capital of this area, Périgueux. With narrow alleys and beautiful facades in the preserved old quarters.

Actually, you hardly need to leave the property, you can relax and walk, but if you want to see more of the area, there are various activities possible in the area.

Activities
The region is crossed by the rivers Isle and Auvézère, excellent for those who love fishing and canoeing, there are also several places along the river for swimming.
Within a radius of 10 km there are possibilities for hiking, canoeing (e.g. from Chevieux-Cubas to Tourtoirac), horse riding, mountain biking, climbing and ballooning. There are also several rivers/lakes in the area where you can swim.
Nearby (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, cycling, horse riding. Tree climbing in the climbing pole in Thenon.
Nearby, in the more crowded tourist area, is Sarlat and the valley of the 5 castles. A perfect day trip to see the amazing places, but then leave the crowds behind for our little corner of paradise.
Perigueux, the capital is worth a visit, and is a world heritage site, with its medieval streets. Enjoy a coffee in one of its pretty open squares!
The Perigord is famous for its food, and you will eat well with the local farmers' market.
