The house
This romantic-style holiday home is located on the riverside and consists of a spacious living room, a kitchen and a large master bedroom with a king-size double bed. You will find this luxurious (80 m2) holiday home with private entrance on the ground floor of our maison de maître. It is chicly furnished with white tiled floors, original fireplace, free internet(Wifi), satellite Smart T.V., a sofa, comfortable armchairs and a dining area. The living room and the bedroom offer a magnificent view of the Dordogne river. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, iron, hoover, dishwasher, oven and fridge. Of course, toaster, cutlery, crockery, coffee machine, kettle and plenty of other kitchen utensils are available. With the fresh products you buy at the local market in Lalinde, you can cook deliciously in your own holiday home. A luxury bathroom with shower, washbasin and separate toilet complete the picture. You have direct access to a spacious private sun terrace (70m2) with a panoramic view over the Dordogne river. You can stroll along the bank with weeping willows, swans and geese. This spacious holiday home is ideal for 2 adults. Cots and high chairs are available on request. Please indicate when booking.

Les Magnolias" estate is situated on the edge of the "bastide" of Lalinde, founded in 1267 by Henri III Plantagenêt. Here you will find our 2.5 hectare domain on the banks of the river Dordogne.
Just 100 metres from Les Magnolias you will find a large supermarket where you can buy all your daily groceries including your Dutch newspaper.
From Les Magnolias it is less than 10 minutes walk to the central square of the typical bastide town of Lalinde. There you will find a tourist office, a cosy shopping street and old village centre, supermarkets, bank, post office, restaurants and cafes with terraces, delicatessen shops and wine shops, bicycle rental at 400 metres and not to forget the weekly Thursday and Saturday morning market with something for everyone.
Within a circle of 20 minutes by car, you will find restaurants in all price ranges, from a fine 3-course menu for 20 euros to high-level gastronomy with a Michelin star.
Les Magnolias is located in the tourist heart (the golden triangle) of the Dordogne and is the ideal starting point to explore the area. It is up to you how you want to enjoy this environment. Whether you want to enjoy the space, history and the peace and quiet, or whether you want an active holiday. We are also centrally located here for various trips with children. Within the hour you are in all the top locations and attractions!
The location at only 23 kilometres from Aéroport de Bergerac -Romanière makes it easily and quickly accessible for all our (international) guests. You can fly 2 to 5 times a week directly from Rotterdam the Hague airport or Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Bergerac. We are also easily accessible by train. Lalinde has its own train station on the main route between Bordeaux and Sarlat.

Restaurants, food & wine
From time immemorial, the Dordogne has been known as the gastronomic centre of France. There are many famous dishes from the Périgord. The cuisine of the Périgord offers many traditional dishes made with products that grow here. The markets bear witness to the varied cuisine and zest for life in the Périgord. During the winter months, the market stalls offer a wealth of truffles, duck and goose products.
The Dordogne also offers great value for money in a multitude of restaurants, as evidenced by the many awards from gastronomy guides. The region has almost twenty restaurants with either one or several Michelin stars or an award for good quality at a low price. Do not hesitate to taste the specialities of our chefs
chefs, thirty of whom founded the association Les Toques du Périgord ("the chefs hats of the Périgord").
In several places in the Dordogne, it is possible to visit a Ferme Auberge (farmhouse) and go on guided tours. At the same time, you can taste and buy products such as foie gras, perodigin duck, meat, goat's cheese, fruit and wine.
Les Magnolias is only 20 minutes by car from the vineyards of Bergerac. Vineyards that have existed for 2000 years. They produce an exceptional range of wines: 13 AOCs for 13,000 hectares of vineyards where mainly red and white wines are made, but also some rosé wines.

The Dordogne of today is synonymous with enjoyment. Enjoy a time-travel through history, enjoy culture in towns and villages full of art and architecture, enjoy nature, gastronomy and of course the people. There is an incredible amount to see and do for young and old in the Dordogne. Every weekend there is something to do.
Les Magnolias is situated in the tourist heart (the golden triangle) of the Dordogne and offers the ideal base for exploring the area. It is green, quiet and cosy, with beautiful, characteristic villages and lovely nature. There is a lot to experience in the vicinity: exhibitions, history (castles and caves), music and theatre festivals, concerts, delicious cuisine and cosy markets. There are also many beautiful cycling, car and walking routes. A region to smell and taste and where it is particularly pleasant to be.

Les Magnolias is a wonderful base for a multitude of (group) activities: on the road with GPS and hiking maps, a day of wellness, a visit to castles and wine chateaus, house hunting, discovering culinary specialities from the region, you name it.
A long weekend (or midweek) enjoying the things that make life good.
It is even possible to rent our entire accommodation exclusively with your company of friends, family or colleagues (maximum of 40 people). You can think of weddings and other family celebrations, activities for cycling groups, walking groups, religious institutions, wine tasting associations, golf clubs, nature lovers, etc.
Under the motto "everything is possible, nothing is obliged", we organise fully arranged arrangements. If desired, a group room for up to 15 people is available for meetings, training and theme sessions. We are also happy to assist you in putting together the programme. We are flexible, professional and creative in finding possibilities to put together a personal 'tailor-made' package together with you.
We and our partners can also support you with the preparations and the organisation of transport.
