The house
Petit Indeaux is a charming semi-detached self catering farmhouse with fantastic views, in beautiful rural surroundings in the Perigord Vert (Dordogne). Here you will find peace and space and the unique atmosphere of the French countryside.
This attractive, completely renovated and comfortable home from home can accommodate up to 4 people.
The ideal base for beautiful walks, to have an undisturbed workplace on an assignment for example, to listen to music or make music yourself (piano) or simply relax.

First floor: Spacious double bedroom (1.60 x 2.00) and a beautiful view. 2nd comfortable double bedroom (1.40 x 2.00).

Petit Indeaux' is set on a property where there is a second gîte. It is a traditional French farmhouse renovated in its original state with extension and large private swimming pool. The idyllic, fully detached location with breathtaking views and the fully enclosed private grounds of approximately 10,000 m2 make 'Les Indeaux' a wonderful place to relax.
The house is located in the Dordogne (Perigord Vert) and is located just outside the beautiful village of Lusignac with its historic castle, Romanesque village church and typical French café / restaurant. Only 6 km away are the villages of Verteillac and Saint Séverin, ideal for small errands. Ribérac, the nearest town 10 km away, has several large supermarkets and a traditional French weekly farmers market.
The area is ideal for hiking and cycling. Moreover, there are various possibilities for fun day trips to, for example, Périgueux, the capital of the Dordogne, with its picturesque center and many restaurants. Or visit Brantôme, nicknamed the "Venice of the Périgord", the Dordogne museum, the city of Bordeaux or the Atlantic coast. In addition, the area is rich in castles, Romanesque churches, famous wine cellars, etc. A visit to the famous wine regions of Bordeaux where Saint Emilion is located or the surroundings of Bergerac is an absolute must for wine lovers.

Net twee weken terug van een heerlijke vakantie in les petit Indeaux. Wat een fijne Gite. In alle opzichten!. Mijn partner en ik hebben genoten, van de mooie ruime woning. Prachtig authentiek! Een gerieflijke keuken, fijne gezellige zitplekken in huis, een ruime slaapkamer met een ultiem uitzicht op de sterrenhemel! Maar bovenal een hele mooie overkapte veranda met zowel een eet- als een zitgedeelte met wel het mooiste uitzicht ooit. Iedere dag met volle teugen van genoten. We wonen zelf in een rustig dorp, maar de rust, het glooiende uitzicht.....we kregen er niet genoeg van. Ook dat we als extra optie gebruik konden maken van het privé-zwembad was heel fijn. Het contact met de eigenaren was heel goed en vriendelijk; het was nog extra gezellig toen we ter plekke van een familielid nog leuke verhalen hoorden over de geschiedenis van het huis. Al met al een mooie herinnering en een plek waar we zeker nog vaker zullen terugkomen.

Heerlijke plek om in alle rust te verblijven.
Het huis staat in een heel rustig gebied met kleine dorpjes in de omgeving. Als je een rustige plek zoekt, dan zit je hier goed. Altijd is er wel een marktje in een dorp in de buurt om verse streekproducten te halen. 's Ochtends naar de bakker voor vers stokbrrod & croissants, om die buiten op 1 van de terrassen in het zonnetje eten. Het huis is van alle benodigdheden voorzien. Het was niet 's nachts niet koud, dus wij sliepen met de ramen open met uitzicht op een mooie sterrenhemel. Een aanrader en een plek waar wij vaker naar toe zullen gaan om even bij te komen.

In the numerous restaurants (from simple to luxurious) in the surrounding villages and cities you can enjoy both local and international cuisine and wines. Day trips to various wine regions are possible (including Bergerac, St Emillion)
Activities
For nature lovers there are several beautiful hiking routes directly from your holiday home. For bird watchers there is also much to discover.
There is plenty to see and do in the nearby villages. The picturesque village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, labelled as one of the most beautiful villages in France, is only a 15 minute drive away. A walk through the winding streets to the 12th century monolithic church (completely carved into the rock!) or a drink on the village square surrounded by shops and eateries should not be missed during your stay.
There are plenty of great 'flea markets' in the summer months almost daily throughout the region. A true paradise for lovers of trinkets or affordable antiques!
A visit to the wine region of Bordeaux is an absolute must for a fun day trip and a true paradise for wine lovers. Famous names such as Saint Emilion and Pommerol are just an hour's drive from Lusignac. Fantastic opportunities to enjoy a delicious glass of wine or to purchase wine, cognac or pineau directly from the producer.
For golfers, the "Manoir de Longeveau" estate in nearby Pillac offers a perfect 9-hole golf course. Moreover, there are 3 'all weather' tennis courts, an attractive bar and a restaurant there. An 18-hole golf course can be found in Périgueux.
You can rent canoes in Ribérac and Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. The latter rental location also provides a beach, playground, snack bar and tennis courts. During a hot summer day, a day at "La Jemaye" with a large natural lake, beaches and various eateries offers delicious refreshment.
The Aubeterre-sur-Dronne based 2CV rental company 'Tour de Canard' offers authentic beautifully restored 2CVs for rent for a nostalgic day of touring this rural area. Rental prices from € 109.00 per day, picnic basket, tom tom and child seat available on request.

EXTRAS:
Towels (bath, pool, kitchen) and bed linen are included. For stays of more than 1 week, you will receive 1 extra set.
A cleaning service is available on request at an additional cost.
FINAL CLEANING:
The final cleaning is included in the rent. We ask you to leave the house with swept floors and glass and garbage free.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
During Nov to May the costs for electricity and woodblocks for the wood stoves will be charged separately based on consumption.
DEPOSIT:
We ask you to pay a deposit of EUR 250.00 no later than the day of arrival. If the property is returned to its original state on the day of departure, the deposit will be refunded on the same day.
