The house
Domaine La Cipière is located in the varied landscape of the Perigord Noir in the Dordogne. The house offers three different holiday gîtes which are available for rent. They have all been realised in 2017. Le Rossignol is a cosy holiday home with shaded terrace. On one side you have a view of the valley and on the other side you can see the orchard.
Through the terrace, which is surrounded by trees, you enter the living room of le Rossignol. The old stone walls and the fireplace create an authentic look. Through the window you have a beautiful view over the hills. Downstairs there is a spacious bathroom decorated with artistic tiles which are also used in the hall. Via the wooden staircase you reach the two bedrooms of which the beautiful beam structure immediately stands out. The beds are new and measure : double 160x200m, single 80x200m.
For a group of nine people it is possible to connect two gites via a connecting door, so that the entire ground floor can be used.

La Cipière is located on a 200 metre high plateau from which you have a wonderful view of the hills. This region has many attractions all located within a short distance from each other. There are many caves to visit, such as the famous caves of Lascaux in Montignac, 15 minutes from La Cipière. In Les Eyzies-de Tayac you can admire the beautiful rock formations and you will find a prehistoric museum. Other caves in the area are: Les Combarelles, Le Bernival, Font de Gaume, Abri cap Blanc, all at no more than 10 minutes by car. There is a swimming lake, étang de Tamniès, 7 km away, with a sandy beach, picnic benches and in high season supervision and snack sales.

Wij, echtpaar 70+, hebben 3 weken in L’Hibou, gelogeerd. Een prachtige plek met indrukwekkend uitzicht en schoon, heerlijke bedden en voorzien van alle gemakken. De locatie en het zwembad maakte het plaatje perfect.
Het huis is verdeeld in 3 verhuurunits; l’Hibou, l’Hirondelle en le Rossignol. De geluidsoverlast die dit veroorzaakt ( krakende vloeren/trap, dunne scheidingswanden) kan een stuk verbeterd worden door extra geluidisolatie.Comment from Jeroen en Corinne Geise
De opmerking over het geluid zullen we zeker over gaan nadenken hoe we dit kunnen verbeteren in de de komende winterperiode

Wat een fantastisch uitzicht! Le Hibou is een sfeervolle ruimte met veel comfort. Er zijn veel bezienswaardigheden (kastelen, leuke dorpjes, mooie tuinen) in de nabije omgeving. Veel mogelijkheden om te wandelen en leuke uitdagingen voor de sportieve fietser. Prettig gelegen groot zwembad.

Wij verbleven begin september 14 dagen in L’Hirondelle. Prachtige gite, ruim , schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk om op je terras te zitten of in de prachtige tuin onder de bomen.Het zwembad is super mooi met heerlijke ligstoelen. De gite ligt niet echt in een dorp/ stad maar wel tussen heel wat bezienswaardigheden, pittoreske dorpjes,kastelen,grotten, rivieren en strandjes.Kortom , voor wie van rust, ruimte en mooie natuur houdt een aanrader.
Activities
There is a petanque court, a sandbox, a swing and equipment for ball games. A playroom has been created in the pigeonnier complete with all sorts of toys. The owner can teach pilates twice a week if guests are interested. Once a week, during high season, there is a table d'hôte service (vegetarian) at 15 euros p.p. ( 7.50 euros for children). We have many books which can be borrowed ( French and Dutch). On Sundays, during high season, we organise a 'getting acquainted' table d'hôte at 5 euros per person. There is also a table d'hôte in the middle of the week at 15 euros for adults and 7.50 euros for children. There are many books available that can be borrowed (French and Dutch). At some distance from the gites a swimming pool is being built, 10 by 5 meters large complete with a terrace. It has a view of the orchard and the valley. The swimming pool will be realised in April.

Further remarks
La Cipière has a large garden and orchard where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. A walk on the 10 ha large estate is possible. The owners are happy to help you with the planning of bicycle and walking trips.

Le Rossignol is part of a building which has two more holiday homes. Through double doors it is possible to connect the two gites ( 9 people). A discount of 5% will then apply. If you rent the top floor as well then it can accommodate a total of 14 people, here a discount of 7% applies.
