The house
The cottage is situated next to the B&B La Bastide des Tremieres and shares its swimming pool. A nice thing is that you can participate (on reservation) with the dinners given at the Bed and Breakfast.
The cottage was restored in 2005 from an old barn, which resulted in a charming house full of beams. It has two bedrooms (each with 2 beds) and a loft also with 2 beds.
The interior of the house is as follows:
Downstairs: one double bedroom with its own bathroom, another bathroom for those who sleep upstairs, a large open kitchen (very well equipped) with a dining table for 6 persons, and a large high ceilinged living space.
Upstairs: a loft with two beds, and past that a bedroom with two beds.
In front of the house you have your own table for 8 persons, and on the site of the house a terrace for the morning sun with a bench, table and chairs.

The house is situated among the vineyards of the Bergerac (and is ON the Route des Vins") with a beautiful view of the valley of the Dordogne River. The surroundings are extremely quiet with lots of birds singing you awake and an occasional deer on the lawn.
You are about 25 minutes from St. Emilion and Bergerac and quite near the town of Sainte Foy la Grande.
There is lots to see in the surroundings as well as many good restaurants - a region for wine, duck and foie gras!
Horseback riding is 5 minutes away, canoeing on the Dordogne river 5 minutes, tennis 5 minutes and Golf de Vigiers 17 minutes.

Restaurants, food & wine
On the route des Vins and 25 minutes from the well known medieval town of St. Emilion. Many local wine chateaux where you can taste. Then there is the famous Saturday morning in Sainte Foy la Grande and the Sunday morning market in Libourne.
We have a long list of good restaurants in the area, among them the restaurant "La Tour des Vents" with 1 Michelin star!

Canoeing on the Dordogne River, golf bij Golf de Vigiers, swimiming in the large solar heated pool of 6 x 12 in your backyard.
