The house
Le Hibou, or 'the Owl' is a holiday home suitable for 11 people The house has a split-level interior with three bedrooms on the lower floor. There is a shower on this floor with separate wc and two of the bedrooms have their own wash basins. On the upper floor is a mezzanine with four beds, a second shower and wc. The spacious living room has French doors that lead to the covered terrace. The kitchen comes complete with all amenities such as a 5-burner cooker, microwave/ hot air combination oven, a large fridge with freezer section, a dishwasher, etc.

On the edge of the village Varaignes in north Dordogne, about 100km northeast of Bordeaux in the beautiful Perigord Vert is our small scale holiday park: Les Loges-Dordogne. A wonderful place. Besides L'Hibou there are two more houses on a terrain of over 5000m2, a meeting room with studio and a large play meadow. A small rivers flows through the 2.5 hectare large park; Le Crochet, a wonderful place for children to build dams or watermills. Across the river is a landscaped park of almost 2 hectares with a saltwater pool measuring 6 by 12 metres. A beautiful lawn for sunbathing and a forest make it complete.
Three comfortable homes on over 2.5 hectares of terrain. Away from everything ....... the pure French life ...... with lively towns, caves, castles, canoeing ...... but not too crowed with tourists. Park like with large shady trees and many different birds. And in summers on the village square a pleasant evening market with long tables and regional products. Bon appetit !!!

Een heerlijk inter-generatie week hier met grootouders, ouders en (klein)kinderen. Ruimte en slaapplaatsen genoeg, Prachtige locatie met enorm veel buitenruimte, trampolines, een leuk ondiep riviertje, en een groot en schoon zwembad. Toen wij er waren, was alleen de eigenaar met zijn gezin een paar dagen aanwezig, de rest van de tijd hadden we het hele complex voor ons alleen (er zijn nog 2 andere huisjes op het terrein). Super pittoresk dorpje naast de deur met een fantastisch leuke markt/ openlucht restaurants op dinsdag avond (neem je eigen bestek en drinken mee, en misschien zelfs een tafelkleedje....).

Further remarks
L'Hibou can be rented in combination with two other holiday homes and the 'Salle de Reunion', the meeting room. You will then have 14 bedrooms for up to 40 people. The park is suitable for groups of 12 to 40 people.
