La Petite Maison is located on our Holiday Farm Le Montet and belong to the village of Ladignac Le Long in the middle of the hills of the beautiful Haute Vienne, The Haute Vienne is one of the departments of the Limousin, 30 minutes below the capital Limoges.
Le Petite Maison has a homely atmosphere, is child-friendly and has a large enclosed garden. Through the garden doors there is a covered terrace with cosy seating. The large garden offers both sun and shade spots. Most of the garden is at the back, offering plenty of privacy. There are two deck chairs with cushions, and a garden set with chair cushions, between the trees hangs a hammock to lounge in. La Petite Maison can accommodate 5 adults (5 beds) and a child up to 3 years( camping cot), a box bed for child on the landing.
LAYOUT:
The ground floor: consists of an L-shaped lounge/room with a cosy seating area with wood-burning stove, radio, TV. There is reception of all Dutch and foreign channels via "Canal digital".
The open kitchen with large dining table provides a cosy get-together. The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven (suitable for pizza), pans, double crockery, frying pans, frying pan, colander, double cutlery and various kitchen utensils. The kitchen is divided into a working/cooking and sink area.
In the second room is the electricity supply and boiler located, also here is access to the toilet on the ground floor.
The floor is tiled. In low season, there is a rug in the seating area.
ON THE FLOOR are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed 160 x200, and a single bed. The small room has 2 single beds 90x200 in an L-shape arrangement. On the landing is a box bed suitable for children up to about 8 years (1.60).
For baby or toddler there is furniture such as camping cot, playpen and high chair, toddler toilet seat, potty, stair gates upstairs and downstairs, outdoor toys such as tricycle, tractor, scooter, and walking car.
THE BATHROOM, has a shower with glass door, 2nd toilet, washbasin and space to store your toiletries and towels.
The floor is laminate.
SMOKING: It is not allowed to smoke inside. Smoking is allowed outside on the covered terrace. Always use an ashtray and do not empty it into the dustbin until the other day.
NOTE WASHING MACHINE USE:
In the months from June to 3rd week in September you can use the washing machine. It is located in the washroom of the main building. Charges: For guests of La Petit Maison the first 2 washes per week are included, for each additional wash we ask a contribution of € 5.00 per wash. To maintain proper operation of the septic tank, we provide phosphate-free detergent. You will also find this in the house/ Gite for any hand washing.
If you rent the cottage outside this period, please note that the washing machine cannot be used. We then refer you to the public launderette at the supermarket in Nexon.
PROVIDED:
On arrival there is: toilet paper, washing-up liquid, dishwasher cubes and detergent, (all phosphate free) you do not need to bring this yourself. for first use there is also ready waste bags for residual and plastic waste, dishcloth, pan sponge, and for wiping up all greasy dishes a roll of kitchen paper. (in connection with the proper functioning of the septic tank)
THE GARDEN/FARM
Early in the year it's great to start the day outside. In the morning when the sun shines, it already comes out on the covered terrace.
From the 2nd week in June until about the 3rd week of September the swimming pool can be used, it is not heated by all guests. The recreation field has climbing and scrambling equipment for the youngest guests and from June to mid-September the trampoline and volleyball net are also set up. If you book the May holiday, for example, it is possible to put up the trampoline earlier in consultation.
The large playing field has deckchairs and chairs under the awnings (in very hot weather) and trees. From the chairs you have a beautiful view over the valley Le Montet. A nice place to linger with a good book and a glass of wine There is also a picnic table for e.g. a cosy family picnic under the tree. In front of the large barn is the table tennis table for the months of June to the end of August. In the old cowshed, "De Stal" is an indoor toy corner and cupboard with all kinds of board games.
WIFI:: Besides using your own bundle, guests can ask for a Wifi code. Wifi is obtained via the 4 G net work, our subscription is shared with guests. Internet in the countryside not as stable as in a city or village, there is more chance of outages due to weather conditions, power cuts.
VEGETABLE GARDEN/HERB GARDEN
We have our own vegetable garden with garden herbs, If you need herbs for a dish, feel free to come and pick some. (high season)
STAY IN LOW SEASON
In the period from 1 November to 1 April we may be busy with maintenance to the Gite and the farm, for this reason it may be that the Gite is closed on the availability calendar. Of course, renting the house/Gite is always negotiable, so feel free to ask about the possibilities.
