The house
France, the Limousin. Apart from the pure air and clear starry skies - for which the Limousin is famous - nature exudes tranquillity. A few minutes outside the rural village of Sussac, you will find the former farm of Arc and France. On this hectare-sized piece of land stands a 55-metre longère: a typical French oblong farm from around 1850. The longère has been partially renovated in recent years and now houses two beautiful gîtes. Hiking, cycling, mountain biking... it's all possible directly from the gîte.
Gîte for 2 persons: Le Petit Paradis
Arc en France's two-person gîte used to be a barn for poultry. The gîte is not large, but therefore very cosy and homely. After a thorough renovation preserving the authentic elements such as oak beams, lots of woodwork and the natural stone "pierres des champs", everything has been brought into harmony with the longère.
Located on the west side of our longère, the gîte is divided into a living, cooking and dining area with a semi-open bedroom on the other side. You will find the so-called "loft" idea here. If desired, it is also possible to add a baby or cot bed. The bathroom is easily accessible from the living room.
No concessions were made during the renovation. This cosy two-person holiday home is equipped with a luxury kitchen with dishwasher, combination microwave oven, gas hob, extractor hood, fridge with freezer compartment and hard stone counter top. Things like a coffee maker, blender, kettle and more have also been thought of. The bathroom has a shower, hanging toilet, designer towel radiator and vanity unit. The entire cottage has underfloor heating. Outside, you have your own private area with garden furniture and parasols. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view over the fields and woods. You can park your car next to the cottage. The owners have a washing machine (+ dryer) which you can use on request.
In principle, the gîte is rented out per week in high season. From 3 nights in low season and 4 nights in mid-season is also possible. Arrival and departure days are usually Saturday, but can be deviated from in consultation. Arc en France does not charge for cleaning, energy and tourist tax. Prices quoted include.

Limousin is characterised by its natural, undulating and peaceful surroundings. The air here is still pure and the vast area is perfect for tours, walks and cycling trips. The area is increasingly being discovered as a tourist attraction, but fortunately Limousin is not yet overrun. Cycling on the very well-maintained and numerous roads is very safe, and even off-the-road hiking and mountain biking can be done here without encountering fences, barbed wire or gendarmes everywhere. Nature is still mostly nature!

Wat een heerlijk paradijs, prachtige natuur geweldig huisje met alles er op en er aan. Diner op de eerste avond en ontbijt voor de eerste ochtend werden verzorgd.

Activities
Limousin is characterised by rolling, hilly countryside where you can hike and cycle for hours without meeting other people. The peace and quiet you will find here will quickly make you forget your daily worries. Here you can relax and enjoy yourself. This is what a holiday is all about for many people!
There is also plenty to do in the spacious surroundings of ArcenFrance. There are plenty of hiking and mountain biking routes and the roads are perfect for getting out and about on ordinary (racing) bikes. To cycle in this somewhat hilly landscape, a battery bike will be a godsend for many. There are also many lakes and rivers where you can fish, swim and canoe. Close to ArcenFrance, about 5 minutes by car and 30 minutes on foot from the cottages, is an attractive swimming lake, with separate children's pool and plenty of playgrounds. A visit to one of the many vide greniers (flea markets) is also definitely worthwhile.

LOW SEASON - January to end of March + October to end of December excluding school holidays (Intermediate season).
Per week: € 390 ( per night € 70). For the low season we apply a surcharge for extra energy costs for heating. These are Eur 25,- per week or 5,- per night.
BETWEEN SEASON - April to end of June + September incl school holidays low season
Per week: € 630,- ( per night € 90,-)
High season - July and August
Per week: € 770,- ( per night € 110,-); Week 2 and/or week 3: 10% discount
Arc en France does not charge for cleaning, tourist tax and/or energy (except in low season). Everything is included. 25% of the rent must be paid upon reservation. The remainder 2 weeks before arrival.
