The house
As our villa on the golf course is surrounded by houses that are increasingly permanently occupied by people who have come to live there mainly for the peace and quiet and beautiful nature, the golf course management has drawn up regulations with standard rules of conduct that tenants must respect.
Description: Our spacious family house (bgg 110m2, floor 80m2, sous-sol 80m2) was built in 2005. It is modern and extremely well-equipped, especially suitable for a family consisting of (grand)parents and their (grand)children.
The master bedroom is air-conditioned, as are two bedrooms on the first floor.
The ground floor has central (floor) heating and the first floor can be heated with individual radiators.
As a result, outside school holidays it is also very good for a nice GOLF HOLIDAY with special rates for a smaller number of people
On the ground floor, in addition to the living area and (extra) kitchen, there are two double bedrooms, each with a bathroom and W.C. The ground floor is surrounded by a largely covered terrace of approx. 80 m2, which is connected to the bedroom, living area and kitchen via 5 double sliding doors. On this terrace there are two dining tables that can seat 6 or 10 people.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms + a fully equipped BABY/KLEUTER ROOM (with changing table, cot + single bed). The generous landing area on the first floor also has a sofa bed and an extra cot. There is a separate bathroom + a separate toilet. An additional (fourth) bathroom + W.C. in the sous-sol is directly accessible from the floor via the staircase.
In the spacious sous-sol (approx. 80 m2) there are (protected from the hot sun) a PING-PONG table, some fitness machines and 2 bicycles. For the children and the pool there is a wide range of toys + playpen, pram and wagon.
There are also a wqs and drying machine for intermediate use.
From the sous-sol you walk to the swimming pool of 5 x 10 m,
which is surrounded by a hardwood terrace of approx. 80 m2. There is plenty of garden furniture + about three parasols. An external staircase connects the pool terrace with the terrace of the living area.
Both the pool terrace, the "living terrace" and the grounds themselves, as well as the interior staircases, are lockable with door/step gates.

Our villa is located on the grounds of the Golf de Biscarrosse (27 holes) with an unobstructed view of the golf course, 300 m. from the Clubhouse.
At 500m lies a large lake (fresh water) with shady sandy beaches and all possibilities for (water) recreation: surfing, sailing, diving, water skiing. The Atlantic coast with extensive beaches is 6 km away. The town of Biscarrosse is at 7 km.
If you want to visit a city again after the lake, the ocean, the golf and all the pine forests, then Arcachon (20 minutes), Bordeaux (1 hour), Biarritz (1.5 hours) and San Sebastian (2 hours) are within reach. A highlight is of course the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (3 hours).

In the Clubhouse of the Golf, at 300 metres, there is an excellent restaurant.
At the lake, in Biscarrosse (Bourg) and Biscarrosse Plage, in the summer, there is a rich variety of restaurants, where you can eat delicious fish, Magret de canard, wild boar and Salade Landaise.
Around Bordeaux, you can visit unlimited wine chateaux.
Activities
The area is very suitable for cycling, with beautifully constructed cycling paths.
Two 18-gear bicycles are available for this purpose.
Furthermore, there is a diving and sailing school within walking distance.
On the lake there are several marinas (2 km from our house), where you can rent boats per hour/per day (part).
The surf of the ocean is world famous among katesurfers.

Further remarks
It was with great pleasure that we had this house built and furnished in this beautiful place.
If you like golf, you have everything within reach. When the weather is nice, the terrace around the house, the swimming pool, the woods, the lake and the ocean are a real treat!
Even in bad weather there is enough space for children to play freely in the sous-sol.....
Accessible by train: Gare de St Jean (Bordeaux) - TGV Paris-Bordeaux, with connection to Arcachon.
Aéroport de Mérignac (Bordeaux) - direct to A'dam, with KLM/AirFrance and Easy-jet.
At Bordeaux airport and station Europcar offers car hire and drop-off in Biscarrosse.
