The house
Gite Océlandes has been rented out since February 2008. It is located in the so called first part of the park, so close to amenities such as the reception office, swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, table tennis tables etc. and it has a very quiet setting with a south facing terrace on the edge of the forest. From the terrace, via French doors you enter the nicely furnished living room and the fully equipped open kitchen (dishwasher, combi oven/microwave etc, everything you need for a comfortable stay) and the dining area. There is a television and WIFI. On the ground floor is also the spacious bathroom with shower, washbasins, washing machine and dryer. On the first floor is a bedroom with double bed and a room with four single beds.
The terrace is complete with garden furniture and sun loungers for relaxing, but you can also enjoy the shade of the trees or use the electrically operated sunscreen.

The gite is located close to Saint Julien en Born, where you will find amenities such as bakers' , supermarkets, butchers', postoffice, surf and bicycle shops (rentals), a variety of shops and restaurants, etc.
The beach is only 8 km away, so it can be reached by car in only a few minutes or via pretty bicycle routes through forest and dunes.
During your stay you can also visit more important cities such as the spa town of Dax (40 km) with its hot springs or Bayonne and Biaritz, a little further out (90 km).
But it is especially the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic coast that attract visitors to the park. Surf lovers will certainly appreciate the quality of the waves.
Many activities are possible in this region that combines all the attractions of the ocean with those of the countryside: such as beautiful walks through the dunes or in the forests.
During your stay, make sure to explore the numerous picturesque villages in the area.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad in dit leuke huis. Fijn park met voorzieningen. Het huisje heeft een goed gevulde schuur: 5 fietsen (volw of grotere kinderen) en een kinderfiets (ca 6 jaar), meerdere bodyboards, tennisrackets, etc. In de tuin staat een grote grillplaat (bbq verboden op t park) , erg fijn. Over het huisje, park en omgeving erg tevreden. We hadden ook lakens gehuurd maar die vielen tegen - bio decompastabel - niet te wassen en niet fijn met de warmte.

Fijn huis op rustig park van alle gemakken voorzien. Goede lokatie voor fietstochten, strandbezoek, steden in omgeving, etc. Zeker voor gezinnen met kleinere kinderen is er heel veel te doen (klimparken, paintball, surfen, varen, waterfietsen, dune de Pilat, kayak). Ook veel meren met strandjes. Geweldige vakantie gegarandeerd!
Restaurants, food & wine
The wine chateaux of Bordeaux are world famous and have many possibilities for visits, tasting and buying. Some tours are organised by the Tourist office. Bordeaux is still the most well known wine but other regional wines such as Tursan, de Madiran, Jurancon, de Sauternes etc are not to be overlooked.
The southwest region of France has an excellent cuisine. There are several restaurants nearby for all tastes and budgets.
Activities
This is a wonderful region for those who like waking. The Tourist office can provide you with maps.
A number of activities are possible in the park itself: tennis, ping-pong, basketball etc.
Swimming and water sports are possible in the Atlantic ocean, but you can also rent kayaks or canoes and explore the nearby rivers.
There is a six-hole golfcourse nearby.
A number of activities are organised for children in the park during the summer season.
