The house
The 3-star gîte is located in a former coach house with, on the ground floor, the spacious kitchen from where a stone staircase leads up to the lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Wide views over the fields from the first floor. At the rear, a beautiful glass veranda with access to the large sunny and shady garden.
Do not expect modernisms and luxuries, no bustling nightlife or dull TV channels, but come and enjoy peace and simplicity, space and nature.

Lovely and friendly varied hilly landscape with woods, (corn) fields and meadows. Here and there a farm, the nearest village at 3,5km. Groceries in Marmande, about 10km away.

Prachtige en zeer schone gite.
Wat hebben wij genoten van de rust en stilte, de mooie grote tuin met zwembad. De moestuin met tomaten, kruiden, bramen etc . De prachtige omgeving.
Maar vooral van de “menselijke warmte” van Chiel en Beatrice” .

Wij hebben hier super genoten van de rust en de natuur. De gite was kraaknet en in een zeer mooie typische Franse stijl. De gastvrijheid van Chiel was top! Ik kan dit verblijf enkel maar aanbevelen!

Wij verbleven in deze gite eind juli 2020 met onze golden retriever Bill. We kregen een warm welkom van de gastheer Chiel en kwamen terecht in een zeer goed ingerichte en propere gite. We hebben enorm genoten van het gezellige terras op de warme zomeravonden en van het verfrissende zwembad. En de lekkere taart van Chiel heeft ons enorm gesmaakt! Zeker een aanrader!

For those who love the peace and simplicity of the French countryside, lazing around under a tree, reading or painting in the leafy garden full of herbs and flowers, walking in the beautiful surroundings, good food, wine, watching the sun set red behind the green hills, followed by a sparkling blue sky.
Of course, there are many interesting and pleasant daytrips to be made in the near and wide surroundings. The Lot-et-Garonne, with its medieval 'bastides', churches and castles hidden in a Tuscan hilly landscape, offers many cultural excursions, with in the summer all kinds of festivals and expositions and every village has its market, its restaurant, its terrace.
The Dordogne with its prehistoric sights is a stone's throw away, but also the bustling Bordeaux is not far. Visit the famous wine chateaux of the Sauternes, the Graves and of course the Bordelais, Saint Emilion, Pomerol... Or a little further away, the ocean with fashionable seaside resorts like Arcachon and Cap Feret, the famous oyster farms, the enormous dunes of Pyla or for example the vast bird reserve of Le Teich. And then come back home to the peace and quiet of la campagne...
With friends or family on holiday and yet your own spot!
Ducel has two spacious two-person cottages that are about a hundred metres apart; each with its own privacy, so not in sight of the other and out of earshot. Both are sufficiently equipped for a stay of four people. An ideal place, for example, to go on holiday together with friends and still have your own way of doing things.
Go out together. Nice idea! But the thought of having to spend day and night together might also put you off...
Starting the day at your own pace, while the others may have been on the road for a long time. One day it is a barbecue at your place, and the next day you are welcomed by your friends. Today we all go to the flea market and tomorrow we do nothing at all. Well, fill in the blanks yourself.
For this construction, it is important to be on time, because the gîtes are not always available at the same time.
