The house
Le Galeau is a very spacious gîte (120m2) for 6 persons, has 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds, 3 bathrooms with walk-in shower and 2 toilets.
You have a large covered terrace with view on trees and below the brook Le Galeau.
Fully equipped open kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine (in common laundry room). Comfortable sitting room, TV, free Wi-Fi.
For the children there are games and toys and for the smallest free cot, high chair and possibly baby bath.
The swimming pool of 10 by 5 m has a shallow end and is equipped with an alarm and shared with the guests of Gîte Les Sapins.
Pets are not allowed.

The most interesting villages nearby are Vianne, Lavardac and Nérac. All three are situated along the river Baïse. Vianne is one of the best preserved bastides, during the months of June, July and August, there is always a lively night market on Fridays. There, you can taste the local food and drink to your heart's content. On the square in Lavardac, you can enjoy a game of jeu-de-boulles or go canoeing on the Baïse. On Wednesday mornings, there is a traditional market.
Nérac, 'capitale de bien vivre', is a pleasant village to stroll through, make boat trips on the Baïse or visit le Chateaux de Henri IV. There is also a traditional market here on Saturday mornings.
Agen is the capital of Lot-et-Garonne, visit the Musée des Beaux-Arts or le Pont-Canal.
Bordeaux and Toulouse are also worth a day trip. In both cities, you will find a wide range of sights and it is pleasant to stroll around.

Restaurants, food & wine
Near Lencouet you have Chateau De Salles, they grow their own wine, you can just ring the bell to have a taste.
Further on in Buzet you have the cooperative where you can taste all the wines of the region.
Tastings at different wine houses can be organised by us.
Nice and cosy restaurants can be found especially in Vianne, Barbaste and Nérac, we would like to introduce some of them to you.
The local supermarkets (Super U, Intermarché...) also offer a wide range of delicious local dishes and fresh fish is available almost daily.
On Sunday morning, during the season, fresh oysters are available on the square in Lavardac. On Wednesday morning there is a market in Lavardac and on Saturday in Nérac.
Since the summer of 2016 we have expanded our garden house into a bar and games room. A cosy place where all our guests can get together for a drink and for the children a neutral place to play together. As this concept was very successful, we also decided to organise regular theme evenings to which all our guests are invited.
Activities
During the summer months we regularly organise theme evenings (BBQ, paella, wine tasting) for all our guests.
Recently, we have also created a centrally located bar-games room where children and adults can sit together.
Furthermore, you can relax in our large garden with heated swimming pool or explore the many marked walking and cycling routes. The Canal du Midi is at 4 km, great for a boat trip. Also nearby is Buzet wine tasting, amusement park with tree climbing, paint-ball, canoeing, a Walibi park in Agen, thermal baths in Casteljaloux. Also ideal for golfers with several courses, one of which is only 8 km away.
We are also centrally located for a city visit to Bordeaux or Toulouse.
