The house
Your holiday home with plenty of peace, space and privacy, is located in the middle of a beautiful hilly landscape, also called the "Tuscany of France".
The gite has its own entrance and a private terrace facing south. From the end of the terrace you have a beautiful view of the hills. You can also enjoy the large private swimming pool with terrace and fantastic views, a rolling landscape, on the estate are olive trees, fig trees, cherry, apple and pear trees.
In the gite you will find a living room with cosy wood-burning stove, a sofa bed, TV, a fully equipped modern kitchen with a.o. oven, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a toilet, walk-in shower and bathtub. The double bedroom is comfortable and cool. The gite also has an internet connection.
The cottage is ideal for 2 people, but the sofa bed in the living room can be used for 1 extra guest if necessary.

The gite is located near Salles in the Lot-et-Garonne, not far from the bastide town of Monflanquin. From Rotterdam you can fly with Transavia in 1 hour and 20 minutes to Bergerac, 45 minutes by car from the gite. The coast near Bordeaux is about 2.5 hours' drive, the city of Bordeaux is 2 hours' drive and it is about 1 hour 45 minutes' drive to (the airport of) Toulouse.

We hebben genoten van de gites. We werden allerhartelijk ontvangen en speciaal voor ons was het zwembad geopend en klaar voor gebruik. De gites is schoon en werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien. De keuken is goed uitgerust waardoor we de vers van de markt gekochte producten heerlijk konden bereiden. De omgeving is heerlijk rustig en adembenemd mooi. De tuin en het zwembad zijn fantastisch. Kortom we hebben het geweldig gehad en zullen zeker terug komen.

We hebben een heel ontspannen en gezellige tijd doorgebracht in de gîte samen met ons dochtertje van 2. Pure rust en ontspanning, dit was waar we naar op zoek waren. Bij aankomst waren we aangenaam verrast door de vriendelijke ontvangst in een ongedwongen sfeer. We kregen meteen alle info die nodig was en konden gedurende de week ook steeds met al onze vragen bij René en Géke terecht!
De gîte zelf is modern, praktisch en helemaal nieuw ingericht. Het was ook ontzettend proper. Ook het terras is de perfecte plaats om gezellig te ontbijten of te dineren. Daarnaast hadden we een giga zwembad met een prachtig uitzicht. Méér dan plaats genoeg voor ons drie. Ook het toilet en het keukentje aan het zwembad waren heel erg praktisch.
Het zijn heel vriendelijke en warme eigenaars. De eigenaars stonden heel de week klaar voor tips of hulp.

Wij hebben heerlijk genoten in de gite van René en Géke.
We kregen een warme ontvangst van beide en werden gelijk rondgeleid.
De Gite ligt in een prachtige rustige omgeving. In de ochtenden in de auto naar Monflaquin om verse croissant en brood te halen, daarna rustig terugrijden over de heuvels met een uitzicht van zonnebloemvelden. 😍
Na een dagje uit even afkoelen in het zwembad , waarna een goed glas wijn uit de omgeving met een plankje kaas onder de ruime veranda!
Alles is aanwezig van beddengoed, keuken met oven,vaatwasser en uitgebreid servies tot cupjes nespresso zodat je bij aankomst al kan genieten van een kopje koffie en het mooie uitzicht.
Wij hebben echt genoten hier, van de omgeving, van de gite en van de hartelijke gastvrijheid van René, Géke, Robin en natuurlijk hun lieve hond Jesse

Activities
The Lot-et-Garonne is also called the "Tuscany of France" because of its rolling hills. The gite is part of Les Bouges, a beautifully restored and extended farmhouse from 1903, where the owners live. A 10-minute drive away you will find the beautiful bastide town of Monflanquin and so are more medieval pretty villages to explore in the vicinity, such as Penne d'Agenais and Villeréal. There is a lively market there on Saturday mornings with lots of local produce. The Sunday market in Issigeac, a 35-minute drive away, is also worth a visit.
The area is also great for cycling, mountain biking and hiking. Golf lovers will also enjoy themselves with a number of golf courses in the vicinity. Just over 20 minutes' drive from the gite. We have 1 electric men's MBT and 1 electric women's MBT, which you can rent from us, definitely recommended for a half-day or day of relaxation! If you want some swimming water other than the pool, you can go to Lac de Montcuq, about 40 minutes' drive away.

Further remarks
Holidaymakers with electric cars can charge them at the gite for a fee, either at the socket or at the fast charger that will be installed in summer 2024. There are also (paid) charging points for electric cars in nearby Villeréal and in numerous small villages in the area, with charging speeds of up to about 80 km/hour....
