The house
Gite "Nissou" is next to the house of the owners but has a private terrace and a private entrance. The space is heated or cooled with an air conditioning unit. On the ground floor there are 2 single beds (80 x 200) separate or against each other, a dining table, 3 armchairs and an open kitchen. The bathroom has a separate toilet. In the attic with a staircase there are 2 single beds (90 x 200). We rent the gites including bed linen. A washing machine is available for guests. At the pool (11 x 5 meters) you will also find a summer kitchen that you can use. The TV has an HDMI port and you can watch Netflix or other streaming services with your own subscription.

La Bakénia is less than 2 km from Villeneuve sur Lot and close to the gigantic shopping center of Leclerc. In summer regular events are organized, such as open-air concerts, shows on the river, food markets and fairs.
Around our house there are some beautiful hiking trails. We are next to the "Voie Verte" a car-free cycle route along le Lot.
The beautiful villages of Pujols and Penne d'Agenais are just a stone's throw away. Even the lovers of good food are well catered for. There are plenty of restaurants ranging from the McDonalds of Villeneuve sur Lot to Michelin star restaurants. This region is known for its special culinary dishes.

The Lot et Garonne is a beautiful department with it's gently sloping hills up to 300 to 400 meters. This allows you to look very far into the distance and have beautiful panoramas everywhere. For everyone, young and old, there is plenty to experience and discover. Hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers can make use of the many routes that have been set out here. Especially along the river Lot you can cycle easily on relatively flat roads. Culture enthusiasts can visit the capital Agen, or Villeneuve sur Lot and visit the many castles and Bastide villages. A visit to Bordeaux and Toulouse is within reach.

Directly around la Bakénia are already some beautiful hiking and mountain bike trails. You can also rent bikes from us to explore the nearby area.
We have walking and cycling maps here ready for you, with beautiful routes a bit further away. Most hiking and cycling routes are well marked. We are next to the "Voie Verte" a car-free cycle route along the Lot.

Walibi is an amusement park near Agen. It offers attractions of all kinds: thrills with for example the Boomerang (a big eight with loops at 38 meters in height), family with the carousel of Ladybugs or attractions refreshing such as Aquachutes, for children like the Melody Road or shows like the Sea Lion Show. This year, opening of a water park!

Further remarks
Also visit the larger cities of Bordeaux, Agen and Toulouse. The Dordogne with beautiful places like Monpaziers and Sarlat are not far away. For children there are the water park of Villeneuve sur Lot and the huge amusement park Walibi of Agen.

in september 2018 waren wij in het gite joini huisje, een gezellig mooi huisje, alles was aanwezig.
Wij hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad.
We hebben genoten van de rust, en de mooie omgeving met de vele leuke franse dorpjes .

Een heerlijke week doorgebracht bij Kees en Marjo. De gite was super schoon, weliswaar niet te groot maar heel gezellig. Lekker luieren aan het zwembad en met de kinderen een paar keer de zomerkeuken gebruikt. Er was zelfs een friteuse! Aan wandel en fietsdocumentatiie ontbreekt het niet. Kees kan je precies vertellen wat er in de buurt te doen is. We hebben enorm veel plezier gehad op de avondmarkten.

Heel rustig gelegen gites, maar toch net buiten de stad. Kees en Marjo hebben ons prima geholpen om de mooie omgeving te verkennen. We hebben fraaie fietstochten gemaakt. Op 2 minuten ligt een groot winkelcentrum. Ideaal.
