The house
The gite is a 16th Century converted Barn which offers an open plan downstairs entrance hallway, lounge with two sofas and dining area with table and seating for 4 persons. Also downstairs is a utility room with wc and washing machine with a separate well equipped kitchen with fridge,cooker,hob,microwave and dishwasher. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master has a double bed and juliette balcony with river views and an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds and an ensuite shower room. Both bedrooms have ample storage space and a hairdryer, all bed and bathroom linen is included in the price. the landing area offers a perfect quiet space for reading or board games.
The Barn has been tastefully converted and decorated to offer a relaxing environment to base your holiday. It is perfectly located 1 hour from Poitiers, Limoges and Châteauroux making it a great base for exploring and for those of you lucky enough to be househunting in this beautiful area of France.

Our stay at Riverside Barn was perfect. Not one issue. House very well equipped. Our Teens loved using the little boat to go fishing. We didn't want to leave. Our lovely host made Riverside Barn home from home. We hopefully will return next year. 10 /10
Restaurants, food & wine
In the village square is a rustic French bar offering a warm welcome. There is also a well equipped small supermarket close to the Barn offering all your daily requirements including daily bread and pastries. A , Presse, flower shop , La Poste and two hairdressers are situated in the village and it hosts different travelling shops ( butcher / fish etc.) on various days.The village has lots going on and numerous activities take place throughout the year attracting repeat visitors who enjoy the environment.
Activities
The location of the Riverside Barn offers an ideal base to explore the local area. It has access to the river offering direct fishing access to the river from the terrace. There are lots of walking and hiking trails close by and the terrain is mostly flat and ideal for cycling.
