La Petite Aubue offers its guests a quiet place in the middle of nature, away from the hustle and bustle.
Rest and space are the basic principles, which is why our accommodations are especially suitable for adults.
This old farmhouse has been resurrected as a particularly charming and comfortable house after a year of artisanal restoration. As a gîte rural a lovely accommodation, built "en pierres apparentes" (exposed stones) with a warm interior and pleasant layout. The gîte's most special feature is its location amidst rolling fields, woods and water with overwhelming views of all this. The gîte is on the grounds where also the owner's house + chambres d'hôtes is, but there is sufficient privacy due to its location.

Entrance, living room with sitting area by the fireplace, dining table, TV, audio, wifi (fibre optic). The kitchenette has a gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge and a Senseo coffee machine.
Garden room suitable as a dining or study room, fireplace, door to south terrace.
First floor:
1st spacious bedroom with double bed 180-200 cm (2 x 90-200 cm).
2nd spacious bedroom with 3 single beds 90-200 cm.

The old farmhouse La Petite Aubue, built in the 18th century, is located in the rolling countryside of the Poitou and offers great views over fields, ancient forests and a lake. The house and the guest room are comfortably and tastefully furnished. Here you will find peace, comfort and nature just 9 km from the A10 Paris-Bordeaux motorway. An excellent address, located on the Pilgrims' Way to Santiago de Compostella, close to culture and activities, even if you want to take a break on your way south/north.
Despite the proximity of cities, TGV and autoroute, this is still a fairly unspoilt and old part of France that is well worth discovering.
Nearby you will find all amenities, e.g. in the village of Vouneuil sur Vienne and at a supermarché at 4 km.
Various activities: Réservat Naturelle du Pinail (3 km), Parc Futuroscope (15 km), Parc de Loisir St. Cyr and the 9 & 18-hole Golf du Haut Poitou (3 km).

Located in the Vienne department (86), Poitou falls under the Poitou-Charentes region with ancient Poitiers as its capital. Small villages, castles and manor houses and lively towns with plenty of Art Roman decorate the landscape of rivers, hills, valleys and forests. Besides the Charentes' famous aperitif, Pineau, Poitou produces a very tasty country wine from the cabernet, gamay and sauvignon grape. A visit to one of the winemakers and the Caves de Poitou is definitely of interest to enthusiasts.

The region has much to offer, but above all there is tranquillity, nature, culture, sports, good food & drink as well as beautiful weather, "La Vie en Vert". Wij zijn met 4 personen voor 1 week hier verbleven. Prachtig huis met prachtig uitzicht, privacy en brandschoon. Mooie inrichting, ruim en met mooie verlichting (!). Heerlijke badkamer en prima bedden (kraakvrij ook). Riante tuin waar je tot zonsondergang kunt genieten van de zon (zuidwesten). Maar ook in de ochtendzon kan ontbeten worden. Fantastisch verblijf. Wij hadden er graag nog een week bijgeboekt maar helaas was al verhuurd. Prettige gastheer en gastvrouw. Goed bereikbaar maar onopvallend aanwezig. Helemaal top.

Wij (twee volwassenen) verbleven twee weken in La Petite Aubue maar we hadden wel langer willen blijven en hopen nog eens terug te komen. Het huisje ligt schitterend op een groot stuk land met prachtig vrij en weids uitzicht op akkers omzoomd door bomen vanaf het terras. Het is een fijn huisje, brandschoon en alles wat je hebben wil is aanwezig: inloopdouche, wasmachine, afwasmachine, fijne ligstoelen. De inrichting is precies wat je van een vakantiehuisje wil, eenvoudig maar zeer prettig.
Hier is door de zeer vriendelijke verhuurders duidelijk over nagedacht.
We hebben erg genoten van het huisje als goede uitvalsbasis voor tochtjes naar de Loire kastelen. Maar vanuit het huisje kan je ook prachtig wandelen. Kortom: La Petite Aubue is top.Els Vandenberghe from Hallaar,
We hebben in juli 2017 een weekje de gite gehuurd. We hadden er beter twee weken van gemaakt. Ons verblijf was gewoonweg subliem! Wat een rustige omgeving... ideaal om te ontspannen. Het huis biedt alle nodige comfort en is zeer mooi en praktisch ingericht. Je kunt er gemakkelijk met bv twee koppels verblijven of met kinderen, aangezien er twee slaapkamers zijn op de bovenverdieping. De keuken heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en je kunt buiten gebruik maken van een barbecue. Ook zeker niets aan te merken op de badkamer. Kortom, zeker niet aarzelen als je dit adres hier bent tegengekomen. Gewoon doen! En niet te vergeten, Tom en Patricia zijn super vriendelijk en hebben ons geweldig onthaald!
