The house
The quietly situated and completely detached house consists of 2 independent floors and is surrounded by a large garden of 4500m² with an orchard with various types of fruit trees. The house on the ground floor is rented and is equipped for 2 persons (or possibly 2 adults + 1 small child) and consists of a spacious living room of 32m² with television, 1 bedroom with double bed, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with small bathtub and separate toilet. The flat on the first floor is occupied by the owners.

The house is completely detached and surrounded by a garden of 4500m² with unobstructed views. It is located about 1 km from the village of Moulis and about 5 km from St. Girons with all shopping facilities.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit prettige en mooie huis.
Schitterende tuin waar je overal mag lopen en zitten.
De eigenaren wonen op de bovenverdieping, maar zijn zo gastvrij en behulpzaam, en weten alles over deze streek.
Uitzicht op de bergen en vele mooie routes te voet of met de auto.
Dit jaar ook de Tour de France vlakbij gezien.

Wat een verschrikkelijk mooi en ruim huis hebben wij mogen gebruiken gedurende onze vakantie dit jaar. Werkelijk voorzien van alle gemakken en benodigdheden die je maar kunt wensen. Je voelt je dan ook als god in Frankrijk voor relatief weinig geld. De tuin is fantastisch groot en mooi, evenals de balkons.
Ook de omgeving is ongekend mooi met grote namen als "de col te Tourmalet"en de "Obysk" en de "Aspin" binnen bereik, om over Lourdes maar niet te spreken.
Een absolute aanrader voor eenieder die zoekt naar kwaliteit binnen betaalbaarheid.
Een ding is zeker, ons zien jullie zeker terug.

Restaurants, food & wine
Moulis has 1 restaurant (pizzeria with take-away) and in St. Girons there is a wide choice of restaurants.
A visit to the Saturday market of Saint Girons is worthwhile. You will find a wide range of local products, but it is also worthwhile to taste the atmosphere at this cosy market.
Activities
The area is especially suitable for those looking for an active holiday. There are many possibilities for walking in the direct surroundings (on all levels), cycling (various Tour de France cols in the vicinity), trout fishing, paragliding (school in the village) or just touring around and enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain landscape. Besides, there are trips possible to the various caves and museums in the area or day trips to e.g. Carcasonne, Lourdes, the observatory of the Pic du Midi, Toulouse, etc. An outdoor pool is open during the summer months in nearby St. Girons (5 min.). In Moulis there is a school for paragliding courses and St. Girons has an airfield where a course in gliding can be followed.
