The house
LICHARD consists of a luxury farmhouse (1-8 persons) + chalet (1-4 persons).

FARM HOUSE:
Ground floor: A spacious living room with fireplace and satellite TV (Dutch); a large kitchen with all amenities (incl. American fridge, dishwasher and microwave);
spacious bedroom; bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet; utility room with extra fridge.
First floor: three spacious bedrooms, of which one is very large, plus an extra bed and a bathroom. All with central heating.
CHALET:
A large covered veranda with dining table and chairs + hammock, accessible from the terrace of the farmhouse and downstairs two spacious bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and a dining kitchen + private terrace. All with central heating. Nb. The 'summer room' of the chalet is for private use only.
The farm (+ chalet) has spacious TERRACES in the sun and in the shade; they are equipped with outdoor tables, patio chairs, parasols and a barbeque.
The PART:
The farmhouse and the cottage are connected by a room of about 35 m2, in which there is a table football game, table tennis and pool table, a sink and an extra cooker. In an extension of the section there is also a toilet and a separate washroom and shower. In this room you will also find the washing machine, dryer and a freezer.
HEATED SWIMMING POOL:
The pool of 12.5 x 5.5 m (1.20 to 2 m deep) is surrounded by a fenced terrace, with private seating and sun corners for both houses. The pool can be heated to max. 28 degrees C. The security is also ensured by the fence, as well as by a slatted cover system, but the best security is of course you yourself!

On the border of the Ariège (09) and the Haute-Garonne (31) in the 'Little Pyrenees' lies LICHARD (commune Montbrun Bocage), about 70 km. south of Toulouse (direct flight Amterdam-Toulouse, one and a half hour). Famous places in the neighbourhood are Foix, St.-Girons, and St.-Gaudens. A little further away are Albi, Carcassonne, Lourdes, Luchon and the free state of Andorra, which are all easily accessible for day trips.
LICHARD (alt. 420 m.) is situated on more than 27 hectares of wooded land with meadows on a south-facing slope in a small valley with unobstructed views of higher peaks.
LICHARD offers you the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful holiday in the midst of unspoilt nature. Hiking in the Pyrenees, with its rough mountain massifs, the many waterfalls, rivers and lakes; visiting the dozens of caves in the neighbourhood; or exploring the region of the Cathars around Foix; it is all possible.
CAR NECESSARY?
Given the location of Lichard it is difficult to do without a car. The nearest village for the most necessary shopping is at 7 km. distance. For larger purchases there are supermarkets in Cazères, St.-Girons and Montesquieu-Volvestre.
CLIMATE:
Lichard has predominantly the Mediterranean climate. Due to its location at an altitude of 450 metres, it is pleasant even in hot summers. Because of the climate Lichard is also in the preseason and postseason, often a very sunny holiday resort.

Activities

During your stay at Lichard, (grand) children can also sleep in their own tents on lower, shady pitches. There is also a sports field of about 250 m² with a volleyball net and for playing boules. There is also a trampoline with safety net.
In Montbrun Bocage (5 km) there are two excellent hard tennis courts (guest card available at Lichard) and La Bastide de Serou (25 km) has an 18-hole GOLFBAAN.

Further remarks
MANAGEMENT:
The management of Lichard is in the hands of Alain and Arsi Roujas (they also speak English and have a contact in the Netherlands, who will receive your email automatically). They live one and a half kilometres away in their house Â'ArtigueÂ'. They welcome you, you can rent bed linen from them, they take care of the swimming pool and they make sure that new guests arrive in a clean house. During your stay they are happy to advise and assist you.
Through them you can always be reached by phone in case of an emergency at home. The farm can be called directly and there is good mobile reception.
PETS are very welcome in Lichard, with the necessary vaccinations for foreign countries.
NB. When you do not want to rent whole Lichard, the rent will be lower. Information at the landlord.

Heerlijke week gehad. Elke dag gezwommen in het verwarmde zwembad. Kinderen hadden de tijd van hun leven. Vooral de boomhut wat een hit. Ook de tafeltennistafel en de voetbaltafel waren populair. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. We hebben genoten van de rust en het mooie uitzicht.

Wat een mooie week in zo’ n prachtige omgeving.
Een grote boerderij , prachtig chalet, heerlijk zwembad en een super boomhut veilig voor de kinderen.
Op diverse terrassen is het goed vertoeven. De grote woonkeuken is van alle gemakken voorzien.
Bij een zeer ruime openhaard is het ‘s avonds gezellig zitten.
Lichard is een plek waar de schoonheid van de natuur zo mooi is om even helemaal stil van te worden en alles even achter je te laten.Sander from Amsterdam,
