The house
Wild Boar Mountain retreat is about as private as you can get with 2 hectares of land and stunning views, all to yourself, secluded from the rest of the world. Private natural salt water infinity pool with waterfall and cave. Sauna with views over pool and valley. Whether you are looking for an ideal family holiday setting, an exclusive setting for a holiday with friends, or a stunning retreat for you to escape to for some alone time, this is the ideal place.
Wild Boar Mountain is large enough to accommodate 8 people:

We recommend the Treehouse and Shepherd’s Hut is more for a few nights stay to add to the excitement of spending a few nights in the wild.
Wild Boar Mountain offers private parking with electric gates, plus a housekeeper on call. The property is secure. There is internet access throughout the property – in the main house, on all the terraces, the guest house and even by the pool.

Languedoc-Roussillon area in France has been named in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel. Wild Boar Mountain is just a 5 minute drive down the hill to the local town of Bedarieux. We are on the edge of a large natural park of great beauty. The views from the property are over towards the mountains.

Activities
Wild Boar Mountain is just a 5 minute drive down the hill to the local town of Bedarieux. Several streets in Bedarieux still maintain their 17th century architecture. The town features a sports centre with tennis courts and a cultural centre. Plus they have a market every Monday throughout the year and an antique market throughout the summer. The market at Bedarieux is a mixture of local food produce and cloths. There is a very handy tourist information in the town.
Restaurant La Forge is in Bedarieux and is highly recommended.
Les Gorges d'Héric is spectacular and only a 20 min drive.
Cycling route 'La Voie Vert' is a 5 minutes drive, or cycle !
Golf de Lamalou-Les-Bains is a 10 minute drive.
Canoe club & white water rafting is a 20 minute drive.
River La Mare is a 10 minute drive is you fancy swimming in a lovely river.
Pezenas is without a doubt one of the most beautiful towns in Languedoc, a 20 minute drive. The medieval streets are filled with artisan shops and art galleries, making it a really cultured place. The best time to visit Pezenas is in the height of summer, when they have Friday night markets and all the shops open until midnight. Local vineyards even sell their wines on the streets!
Cap d’Agde Beach & Bianca beach bar is a 50 minute drive and a great place to spend the day.
Aqualand water park is a 1 hour drive and is great fun for the children, and adults!

We had a truly memorable holiday in the most stunning villa with breathtaking views. The place has been designed and decorated to a very high standard and the USP was definitely the heated saltwater infinity pool and hot stone sauna. We arrived to find a hamper with champagne and chocolates which was a very sweet touch. The glass doors that open up give a really airy feel to the villa so the transition to the outdoors is seamless. There are so many activities to keep you busy like a pool table, table tennis, dart boards etc. There are cycles for use by the guests, which was an excellent way to get exercise in the mornings to go down to the bakery for the yummiest baguettes and croissants as well as fresh fruit. They have an outdoors wood fired pizza oven and seating areas that make the place really cosy. The villa is very well located with easy access to nearby restaurants and markets. We cannot wait to come back next year and have booked it again. There’s also a gorgeous tree house that is an absolute must to sleep in. What an experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at Wild Boar Mountain. It was everything we'd hoped for and more! It was so peaceful and beautiful, the views were stunning. The whole property has been done with great taste and has a touch of magic about it. A wonderful mix of nature and luxury! The kids were so excited by the treehouse and the hut, but you can actually spend a night in either they're so well done! The local area is great too, we loved the gorges d'heric especially and a day trip to the coast and the beach bar they recommended was lovely too. I know they now have a sauna by the pool (!!) as well, so we're already booking our return this spring!

We had the most wonderful time at Wild Boar Mountain, in South of France. The land and views were breath-taking. Our family really relaxed, and we particularly enjoyed the two-house setup. Our friends and their children were very comfortable in the guest house and it was so perfect for all of us to have our own private spaces. Strolling around the beautiful gardens and relaxing in the hammocks was so private and peaceful. Just what we needed! We didn't want to leave the gorgeous pool. We spent most days by the pool and the outdoor kitchen which was so convenient for making breakfasts and lunches by the pool and the children loved the Pizza oven. We tried the tree house which was just magical and the memories of waking up in the morning amongst the trees with the birds singing will stay with us forever. There was Nespresso coffee machines and free coffee capsules, in all the properties were very much appreciated. We didn't want to leave. A wonderful experience.
